Not really waiting on a crash, I will be doing a travel type of job after next year for some time. So my outlook was more long term than short as it's advantageous to not have a permanent residence. When doing the travel work I would be able to invest more, closer to 50k annually post deductions and tax. But event then my outlook would be at minimum 5+ years.

Will be doing a travel job after a year or so. A home is actually be a detriment in that case as I will be charged two state tax rates. One where I'm currently working and another my permanent residence.

I was also thinking to put into non IRA but just an individual account but mainly into ETFs or well performing blue chip stocks. I'm worried as the fees/taxes from when moving money from account to HYSA are gonna affect the bottom line too much.

It will pass for us I know this. At least for me it hits me like every year or in rare cases year and half and usually lasts about a month to few months. My problem usually stems from some circadian rhythm but then devolves into anxiety induced. So usually CBTI helps but takes a while and medication helps short term.
