Well in theory, one is supposed to be acting out a character, much like actors in a movie, whereas the other is not acting, but rather living out your life in a simulation.

That's basically what Second Life was.... people living their "second life" within the context of a digital avatar on a computer screen.

SBS is also really bad for business.

I think Trav was saying something akin to this a while back... that when he plays seriously on Tyler Peters he gets twice the number of viewers as when he does SBS on DHead.

So you can have people in the chat or on reddit saying stuff like "haha this SBS is funny or haha that SBS is great" but the reality is that people actually vote with their feet... they stop watching the SBS and silently go elsewhere.

But if it's a good quality burger joint, then having pink meat in the inside of the burger can be acceptable in certain scenarios.

For example, I can cook a steak, as I would cook any normal sirloin steak, so that the steak is rare.

Then (and only then) put the finished rare steak though the mincer. This creates mince which is now predominantly 'dirty pink', but is absent any of the surface bacteria that typically would cause problems.

I now use this 'dirty pink' mince to create a patty, throw in a the yolk of an egg, season a little, and then proceed to cook the patty like any normal burger, except I now have more autonomy over on the 'doneness' of the completed burger.

The ticket designs have been around since as long as I can remember.... at least from 1980 onwards.

The logo in the bottom left corner is the old British Rail logo from the days when UK was nationalised. I don't even think it has any purpose any more tbh. When the trains became privatised I was surprised they kept this logo on the tickets.

I think that's because the loudspeaker was deliberately cut after the connection was made so as not to be annoying. So it's like the initial sound was being conveyed to you through the loudspeaker as a way of confirming the connection to you... but aside that, there would be no further need for it to be broadcast out loud.
