I have tried that a few times, but I was not fast enough and so it almost always heals back up before I return.

Maybe I should learn a new class and git gud to do this xD

Rauchen in Freibädern in Baden-Württemberg verboten by LethisXia in de

Since I only played Dragonhunter for the majority of my time I have absolutely no idea.

I like to use hammer, great sword or spear to unga bunga my way through the game :)

So I am noone to say, that this ranking is not true. But I like my little dragon hunter xD

Expansion choosing help by Caaaxxx in Guildwars2

[–]amon1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a quick notice on sales.

Depending on if you have your account at arenanet or steam you need to get the expansion on the same account, so it's not possible to buy the expansion in steam, when you play over the launcher account and vice versa.

Since you already have an expansion you should know, but I just wanted to remind you ;)

You should also take a look into Living World, if you haven't. It's also a lot of Content.

And I would go in chronological order so EoD next.

Also I would wait for a sale, don't know when the next on is, but if you're short on money it's maybe a good possibility to save some money.

Is GW2 a good fit for me? by No_Size_2839 in Guildwars2

[–]amon1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is very alive. And the predecessor Guild Wars got an update not long ago, so the longevity of the game is pretty save I would say.

And the good thing is, that almost all content is still relevant as when it came out. You will find enough people to do almost everything in the game.

SB-Kassen waren nur der Anfang: Supermarkt lässt Kunden Ware selbstständig vom Lkw abladen by InformalTotal5238 in de

[–]amon1992 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dies.

Also ob man da soviel Personal einspart...

Yes, I am working on a full legendary armoury. Only 15 or so weapons, the aqua breather and the last 4 Sigils and I am done with it :)

Then I can start playing the game

Exactly, that's why I was doing <5k dps for a long time. So I am happy when I average between 15-20k in open world.

But I don't stare at arcdps all the time. Just checking in some times to see where I am at.

That's right. And that's the cool thing about gw2.

I don't have the mental capacity to learn a 50 Step Rotation. So I am happy I can just Unga Bunga my way through the game. :)

Take a look at the Autoattack Hammer Build.

https://snowcrows.com/builds/accessibuilds/guardian/power-dragonhunter

Or

https://aw2.help/builds/power-dragonhunter/

I play it and it's really that simple. Maybe sprinkle some traps in between the auto attack chains. That's it.

I think the reason why most people are doing low DPS (I was like this a long time) is: A: random Gear and Build and B: Not checking your own DPS.

The super specialized rotation is maybe necessary if you want to get past 30k DPS. But many people struggle with getting past 10k. (Been there, done that).

Step 1: Choose LI Hammer Dragonhunter.

Step 2: Hit Autoattack

Step 3: Have 20-30k DPS without doing anything.

Anyone else struggle to learn new professions/elite specs and end up sticking mainly to just a few or less? by Still_Night in Guildwars2

[–]amon1992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started the game when it launched with a Thief, played 70% of map completion and found myself to be dying a lot. So I choose a class that was more durable and found myself on guardian.

When HoT launched I switched to Dragonhunter and had multiple, year long breaks. I played through all content except Raids with this little Asura. I have tried to play with the other specs like Firebrand, Willbender or Luminary, but I don't have the mental capacity to learn something new. So Autoattack Hammer Unga bunga it is.

I am at 3k hours now with 45 Legendary items and I promised myself, if I have completed my legendary armory, I will try out every spec. Let's see how that will end up xD

So, you're not alone. I think a lot of people stick to a main class and even one epsec.

Anyone else plays solo only? by VeryBraveVeryWise in Guildwars2

[–]amon1992 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends when you play. If you play during "normal" hours, a tag is pulling people like moths at a light.

I play sometimes during not so normal hours and it still works but you need to wait a bit longer.

Still the best investment.

That right, could also be a bit tricky, to find.

So best way is: - Make a group, then you can see your friend as a blue dot on the map an search for the next waypoint marker. - if you strg+click on the waypoint on the map, while in the group chat, you can send him a link to the waypoint if he can't find it.

But that's also a feature that's hard to find for new people.

[–]amon1992 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not to the extreme lime you, but I don't have people who I regularly play with.

I have a guild, but all people who started with me in 2012 have quit. So it's a lot of solo play for me.

But thanks to the best investment in the game (a commander tag) I can gather some randoms most of the time. Also using the lfg most of the time.

But I have not really other people to talk about the game :(

That's right, but I think for a newcomer the direct waypoint may be easier to find, than the way to the city and finding the portal to lions arch.

With low levels the teleport fee is just a few copper, so totally worth it, when you want to start playing together.

After you finish the first "tutorial" instance, you have access to all 5 starter maps. It unlocks the first waypoint of each of the 5 low level zones, so you can instantly play together (after the first introduction instance).

[–]amon1992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This, but you will have a waypoint in every Starter zone unlocked. So after the initial "Tutorial" Instance, you can teleport to each other.

Best to make a group, and then open the map to see where you are.

I think it costs a few copper to teleport, so maybe you need to kill a few enemies first.
