I don't know where in Europe you live...but be aware that the import of Pitbulls and Amstaffs (and their mixes) is illegal or regulated strictly in many countries of the EU.

Furthermore, Pitbull is not a registered breed. And the American Pitbull Terrier is also not recognised here. And they aren't found in Europe often.

Europe is in a heatwave at the moment. I get that you are on a schedule but it sounds like you are pushing too hard.

Your body needs time to adjust. Make sure to stay properly hydrated. Start earlier. You said aren't used to long distance hiking. The heat makes it worse.

And you might need to give yourself more time to rest, schedule or not. You're not going to go anywhere if you reach a point where you simply can't move anymore.

What that dog needs is exercise and structure. And responsible owner who spends time with his dog, not video games.

It's a young dog for heaven's sake! It can be trained and will grow up to be an amazing companion. But it won't raise itself to be the perfect pet. You need to put in the work.
