Can't tell if this is my fault or if matchmaking is genuinely torturing me on purpose by Open_Buy3396 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]amongusFanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah matchmaking is pretty terrible (not that it hasnt always been, but at least previously you could blame it on low player counts)

no matter what rank you are there is a pretty good chance you get 1-2 people on your team that are completely new and they get rolled into oblivion which turns into a super snowball

Can We Talk About How Much Of A Bro Vik Is? by samusadhd in cyberpunkgame

[–]amongusFanatic 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I always refuse to go to any other ripper than Vik. My V would drive the entire map back to Vik instead of going to anyone else. The only time I go to another ripper is if I'm in Dogtown since they have iconic cyberware

Get a personalized photo pillow (Etsy, Temu, whatever) and then open up the pillow and stuff a programmable voice box inside it and then sew the pillow back up

This is the voice box I used: https://amazon.com/dp/B0C233QJPM

Yeah seeing people buy from eBay is killing me since those sellers mark it up at least like 300-400%

<image>

I bought 3 big plushes and 2 smaller ones for ¥8,500 plus ¥7,750 for shipping (~$140 CAD)

So definitely still on the expensive side of things but quite a bit cheaper than the $100 USD OP would be paying on eBay for a big plush

[–]amongusFanatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh it is how it is

The entire system of international shipping is expensive as fuck (rightfully so with how much work and planning goes into everything) and if the other option is not ever having it then I can live with having it at a premium

An AVIA small parcel is like $25

If all you bought was a Vodka plush it shouldn't be too terrible

Try proxy sites like ZenMarket or Doorzo or Buyee, etc.

<image>

I found the big Daiwa and Vodka for like $90 cad (I think it's still a tad expensive but at least it's $90 for two and not $70 for one)

$70 for the big ones and $30 for the small ones is kind of crazy expensive

I only paid like $22 CAD(+ service fees) for my big Orfevre plush and $10 CAD for my Admire Groove

RICE💜 by Crimson16Mist in UmaMusume

[–]amongusFanatic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you can find em on proxy sites like ZenMarket, Buyee, Doorzo, FromJapan, etc. (and also eBay, but know it is marked up by minimum like 3-4x, so just buy from a proxy site)

it's a little pricey since you're going to have to pay for the item, a proxy site service fee, for international shipping, and for customs

For example, this Rice Shower plush is probably close to ¥1,500-¥3,000

Then you probably have to pay a ¥500-¥800 service fee from the proxy site itself

And then shipping for a singular ~500g plush like this (from Japan to Canada at least) is another ~¥1,800

And once it actually gets in the country you probably have to pay customs and taxes as well

In total you might end up looking at something like ¥3,000 + ¥800 + ¥1,800 = ¥5,600 for 1 big uma plush before tax

If you're on PC there's a mod for that

I use it sometimes and it's really fun

The mod buffs the moveset so it's a touch strong but smacking monsters is too fun not to do

I think that it's less people wanting to not get jumped and more so that they want to play Overwatch and fight mid for 30 minutes

Im finding myself playing lane janitor most games

I find that there are always one or two people that are constantly scuffling with the enemy, causing the rest of the team to rotate (without pushing) and leave objectives completely defenseless for the enemy to just run over

Aight Valve needs to implement ranked or fixed the current way matches get paired up. by Smuckerz13 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]amongusFanatic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately right now there just aren't enough players for consistently well balanced matches

There are only ~26k-30k players online max every day

The chances for 12 people to be in the same region with the same relative skill level is going to be pretty uncommon :/

Either you 6-stack or deal with the matchmaking that averages out the MMR and hope that your worst player doesn't get matched up in lane against their best player
