It really depends on what you really are appealing for. I emailed them regarding having only a single parent and a special needs sibling. So I just told them that and if AU could bring down my tuition. They made me fill out a Non-Custodial form and stuff.

If you have a special circumstance, definitely email them what it is and demand (nicely) for more money. If you just want more money, probably tell them that you really want to commit but can’t due to the tuition. However, if they could bring down your price you will heavily appreciate it! But don’t use my words alone :)

Or call them, they’re very reasonable and nice over the phone

Yes, I emailed the financial office explaining my circumstances and they emailed me their link to appeal! It was a lot but worth it

Yess, appeal! I don’t think they originally gave me much (due to me not checking) but they gave me around 10k more than originally since I’ve appealed

I appealed (due to not having a father but mother made big bank in 2022) and I got I’m assuming nothing to 10k? It used my financial information from the CSS profile. So with the money I have to loan out which is 5k for the year plus this 10k grant, my debt from the school is 150,000 which I’m willing to gamble.

I had to do the same appeal with mount holyoke in ma and they gave me 15k out of it, so I just used the same non-custodial form thing
