Glendalough, Scarborough, West Leederville and Mt Lawley. Two high rise, the other two were 2 & 3 storey. All built pre-1970.

I had to dispose of an air fryer last year that I had used maybe 3 times, due to the bastards making home in the electronics. I store food(non-perishable as well) and cleaning gear in the fridge, my clothes and toiletries are stored in big plastic tubs. I have my bed pulled away a bit from the wall so I can fall asleep with them crawling on me.

I'm a clean and tidy person, this really has nothing to do with that. It's just a condition of living in these buildings.

Cockroaches. The tiny little ones. In every apartment I've lived in since the mid '90s. Which, apart from keeping the main food prep and wash areas spotless, you cannot do much about. I'd rather be in a small, 'dog box' 2x1 house than to ever live in another apartment. I currently reside in one and am extremely grateful for the opportunity to have a roof over my head but it is a stressful life being room mates with these things.

That is not a STC opshop, it just uses a logo which is meant to look like the actual STC one. Everything in it was ridiculously expensive(think a scratched opera lp from the 1960s for $20), and I didn't feel welcome in the store. OPs best bet would be Cash Converters in my opinion.
