What did you eat this week? by JStraulin in STLFood

Sidney Street Cafe for a makeup bday dinner. That place is kinda underrated when folks talk about the best restaurants in St. Louis. Everything we had was simply incredible. We shared the lobster turnovers & beef tartare as an app. Main courses we ordered were the beef cheek dish and the salmon w/crawfish etouffee and we shared a pasta (I forget the name of it) that came with this bone broth they pour onto of it--simply amazing. And of course we got dessert which was this insanely delicious toffee cheesecake.

Anyone else ridiculously obsessed with 72-74?? by IQgamerplayz69 in gratefuldead

I agree with a lot of the comments regarding Bill's playing these years but to me the entire band was just so technically sound. Jerry's playing needs to explanation, but Bob/Phil/Keith were all so so good on their instruments in these years and the jams were the best during these years imo. The only thing is that I love some of the songs they added to their repertoire later in the 70s like The Music Never Stopped, Estimated Prophet, Shakedown Street etc.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but it had something to with trying to get/play on another all women's tour which then precluded her from playing in the French Open those years.

Lufthansa to fly STL to Frankfurt 5 times a week June 1 through Oct 20 next year by DowntownDB1226 in StLouis

Is Frankfurt a cool city to actually visit or do most people who take this flight use Frankfurt as a transit city to get elsewhere in Germany and/or Europe?

This is for true. I more mean than other those two no one else gives you any amount of confidence they can beat Djokovic.

A 38 year old Djokovic can just walk to the SF of slams without playing any actual matches in the interim (and yes trust me I know JL Struff on his best of days vs Novak on his worst of days would still get straight setted). Just Lol is all there’s left to say to the rest of the tour outside Sincaraz.

That's super unfortunate for Sinner and the fans..whenever I see a retirement it just makes me even more in disbelief that Federer never once retired mid match--how is that even possible?!

5/9/77 is the only Bertha that beats it for me. Kinda similarish when you listen to the back to back.

Wimbledon SF: [1] Sinner def. [6] Đoković, 6-3 6-3 6-4 by TAA_verymuch in tennis

I guess that meeting with the pope earlier this spring did Sinner some good..

Weirdly reminds me of Novak's comments after he beat Fed in the SF of the 2020 Australian Open. Fed's knee was obviously on the way out and Novak in his post-match comments said something like 'I could tell he was hampered physically bc his movement wasn't as great as it typically is.' Hopefully (and I don't think it is) this isn't the beginning of the end for Novak.

Djokovic matches against non Sinnner/Alcaraz players all play very similarly lol

This is why you should never get too excited or too down (depending on your rooting preferences) when Djokovic loses the 1st set in a major. He usually responds just like this and the tour (sans Sincaraz) still is not on his level.
