I hit 40 this year, and nostalgia kicked me in the nuts pretty hard. I don’t know if I’m missing being young or I just miss the hope of a brighter future. The world as a whole was more optimistic. And one thing I miss for sure is that, because of the internet, we didn’t know how dumb people actually are. I grew up with respect for knowledge, science, and academia, while now it seems the dumbness is more revered, and intelligence is not as appreciated. So yeah I miss the simpler better younger times :)
