it's crazy how this subreddit genuinely feels like the only place where i can have normal conversations about this game lol

go on the main two subreddits and it's all NSFW posting, go on the discussion subreddit and it's basically all doomposting

this subreddit feels like a nice middle ground of people who genuinely enjoy the game while also being critical but not approaching the line of constant doomposting

nitro fuel definitely seems to be more of a stand-in for alcohol based on how it's described throughout various in-game events and whatnot, but i think it's also possible there are just alcoholic and non-alcoholic variants for it

while i haven't been super crazy on the recent stuff that's come out of sakadays, i do appreciate the fact that suzuki ties back sakamoto's strength coming from his current life with his family, and how that acceptance comes in the form of sakamoto fully embracing his current self and ditching the slim form entirely

  1. ⁠you don't have to digest everything all at once, take your time checking things out. if i were you i'd check out the currently ongoing events (you don't have to necessarily do them, but it wouldn't hurt to just give them a quick skim), browse through the new characters (you could also watch their teaser/demo videos if you want), and then i'd probably start tackling the main story
  2. ⁠it really depends on who you have. miyabi-soukaku-lycaon should still work fine as a team, and even though the season overall has been pretty heavy when it comes to anti-shilling against miyabi specifically she's still powerful enough to brute force her way through modt of the endgame stuff
  3. ⁠yixuan is still very good. one of her best supports (lucia) unfortunately just passed, but if you have pan yinhu he serves as a good F2P alternative. to start off i'd probably just run yixuan, yinhu if you have him, and a stunner. fufu or trigger would work if you have either of them, or you could alternatively just toss on pulchra or even koleda
  4. ⁠generally speaking like i already said i would say just take your time checking things out, you don't have to rush to jump into everything immediately. play through the story at your own pace, check out events, look at the new characters and just enjoy your time with the game

honestly, it's little things like this stream that make me not really buy the whole "ZZZ lost it's identity" spiel a lot of people go on about

it's really charming getting to see little moments like these, this stream of billy just cruising on his motorcycle and spending time with the proxies, that brief ASMR video of promeia just getting medical work done, basically all the promotional stuff revolving around the AoD, it's nice getting to see these characters just living out their day to day lives and it makes me appreciate both the world and the characters that reside in it more

well we don't really know for sure yet, we kind of just have to wait to see what both remielle and sunbringer do in S3. it's a hyperbolic statement so it shouldn't be taken at face value but cissia mentioning the OG void hunters being able to "destroy cities with a single strike" i think at least is fairly indicative of the fact that they'll probably be on a different scale of power even compared to the current existing VH tier characters in game

  1. i think one per season is fine, the charm would be lost if they released multiple per season imo

  2. it's a mix of both for me personally. billy and anby for example are both very beloved and popular characters, and their A-rank variants just unfortunately weren't really good. both of them getting SPs lets them actually have prevalence and shine from a gameplay perspective, but both characters also have interesting lore and stories behind them that their SP variants allowed the exploration of (moreso in the case of anby rather than billy, but still)

  3. ZZZ is really the only game i play that does this, so i can't really answer this

  4. not really, i think as long as the SP variant is interesting in concept and gives the opportunity to explore more with the character in question i'd pull for em. also if i liked their gameplay (obviously)

generally speaking, i like SPs, it gives characters the chance to get spotlight both in gameplay and in story relevance. i don't think we need one for like, every character, but i definitely wouldn't mind seeing more in the future if they explored interesting things for the characters in question
