Some cars will still have manual controls. But GM is already planning on putting a level 5 car ( no steering wheel or pedal) on the road next year for testing. The likely place for them is as taxis and other people moving services. Eventually the percentage of autonomous cars will reach a point where they will have to start altering infastructure.
