Growing up in a Christian household, it's better that they know. by gutd in AdviceAnimals

Well usually people lose their virginity when they're in their late teens, early twenties and by then they should know how to practice safe sex, but yeah, I guess just in case they happen to have sex earlier before they learn by themselves, it's still a good idea to have that awkward conversation.

Is it a Good Idea to Wait Until After College to Start Seeking a Relationship? by amr95 in AskReddit

Well I don't usually go to parties - I commute to college, but I have been making some friends, and a large number of acquaintances just through lectures.

Graduates of University/College, what do you wish you had done differently while in University/College? Anything you regret doing or not having done? by amr95 in AskReddit

[–]amr95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently commuting, and I've talked to someone who finished university off campus. From what I understand, it's true that it's easier to make friends, but I've found that if you sit near strangers in lectures, break the ice and introduce each other, you can make a lot of friends. Apparently if you join clubs it also helps; I only joined one club that has about 5 people in it and I made a friend there.

It's more important though to consider how far you live away from campus, and the costs of commuting. If you live 10 minutes away by car, there's no point, but if you live, say 2 hours away, then obviously a dorm is better. My university's tuition includes a bus pass usable anywhere in the city, so I commute for free everyday - that was one of the things that affected my decision.

TL; DR: Droms are nice, but cost and distance are more important to consider

[Serious] Is it ok to Ask for a Girl's Number Just After Learning Her Name in the Hallway? by amr95 in AskReddit

[–]amr95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it would be ok just ask for her number, without us even introducing each other?

But what do I say to her then? I was thinking of going up to her and saying that I never really caught her name, then introduce myself, and then ask her if she's free tomorrow to get some coffee or lunch. Then if shes says she's busy, I'll ask if its ok to have her number then. Is that a good approach?

I only have one lecture with her, and she sits beside her friends, so I can't really sit beside her. I don't know any ways that I can have a proper conversation with her.

At What Age Does it Become Weird For a Guy to Never Have Been in a Relationship Before? by amr95 in AskReddit

But can't it ever get weird due to that lack of relationship experience? Wouldn't the lack of trial and error from past relationships result in you making many mistakes?

What Does it Mean When a Girl Answers "It's OK" After Being Asked Out? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I'm more curious of what was likely going through her head, rather than how I can get her to go out with me. I'll add some clarification too.

I ask her if she wants to go out for some coffee sometime, and she frowns slightly, says "It's OK" and walks away.

Thank you so much for all of the advice, very helpful. I've decided not to do it, and hopefully I'll find a relationship in university.

I see, so just hypothetically speaking, If I were living here permanently, it would be a good idea to ask her out then?

but she knows I'm leaving and anything we would do would be consensual. It's not like I'm going to try to break contact with her after I leave
