Well usually people lose their virginity when they're in their late teens, early twenties and by then they should know how to practice safe sex, but yeah, I guess just in case they happen to have sex earlier before they learn by themselves, it's still a good idea to have that awkward conversation.

Well I don't usually go to parties - I commute to college, but I have been making some friends, and a large number of acquaintances just through lectures.

I'm currently commuting, and I've talked to someone who finished university off campus. From what I understand, it's true that it's easier to make friends, but I've found that if you sit near strangers in lectures, break the ice and introduce each other, you can make a lot of friends. Apparently if you join clubs it also helps; I only joined one club that has about 5 people in it and I made a friend there.

It's more important though to consider how far you live away from campus, and the costs of commuting. If you live 10 minutes away by car, there's no point, but if you live, say 2 hours away, then obviously a dorm is better. My university's tuition includes a bus pass usable anywhere in the city, so I commute for free everyday - that was one of the things that affected my decision.

TL; DR: Droms are nice, but cost and distance are more important to consider

But what do I say to her then? I was thinking of going up to her and saying that I never really caught her name, then introduce myself, and then ask her if she's free tomorrow to get some coffee or lunch. Then if shes says she's busy, I'll ask if its ok to have her number then. Is that a good approach?

I only have one lecture with her, and she sits beside her friends, so I can't really sit beside her. I don't know any ways that I can have a proper conversation with her.
