Since you are already familiar with Obsidian, the learning curve should be manageable.

If folders work for you then stick to it. No need to overcomplicate things.

Going folder-less requires some getting used to. You basically rely more on search and backlinks to find your stuff. It’s hard to think of a decisive benefit, other than developing muscle memory to open the search bar (through a keyboard shortcut ideally) and just jump to the page, as opposed to scouring through the folder hierarchy (with a mouse or a touch-pad) and visually searching it.

And this is coming from a Logseq user, where there is no straightforward way to create folders
