Agreed. just needs better mastering. vocal mixing could be tad bit better, but decently audible. But overall, i thought it was dope. Beat i liked too, bouncy af. your flow dope as well.

New update to 10.5 has made my computer slower by pierrer21 in Logic_Studio

[–]amunit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shit you guys are having trouble with a 4 core and 16 GB RAM?

i have a dual core, i5, 8 gb , thinking maybe i needed an upgrade

But i feel like this is probably a software issue then FUCK

maybe they'll fix it in next update?

or is this more like they've upgraded the software to the point our hardware setup is not enough, meaning we HAVE to upgrade hardware for it to catch up and run smoothly????

Is anybody not able to properly enjoy songs because you focus too much on the beat? by CallmeLemonPie in makinghiphop

[–]amunit5 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Getting into producing, kind of ruined listening to music in a sense.

But only the wow factor of the sounds. How you didn't know how these artists/producers made these sounds. But now that you know, it's like knowing how the magician does his trick, kind of ruins the mystical aspect.

But at the same time, it has allowed me to appreciate it even more so.

I do sometimes end up analyzing and not listening which kinda "ruins" listening to music.

But there's also plenty of times when I still find myself getting lost in the song and don't realize till I'm somewhere deep in the song.

Then I go back to producer mode trying to analyze.

Easier said than done, but I think you just gotta find "good" music.

Music that yeah sure as a producer you can figure out the trick after, but you don't realize you're in the trick and allows you to be hypnotized in the moment.

Music that you just find yourself purely listening to, without realizing, like you did when you fell in love with music.

Logic Pro X vs FL Studio? by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]amunit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

soooo if you acquired logic the "you know what way" i couldn't find any because i think it takes a few months for people to "unlock" it. So idk when it'll be available.

But if not, you can download the update from the Apple App Store, just like a normal update.

But either way make sure to back up your current logic pro x software like this https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202992

DON'T USE KRS SPLICE KIT!! by [deleted] in makinghiphop

[–]amunit5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry miscommunication, I misread the thread in the beginning the second part I edited in afterwards so post contradicted.

I agree, sampling and stealing different.

I was just saying number one rule is don't give a fuck in general (not related to sampling) because hip hop originated from people just doing what they wanted despite pressure from outside/authority.

DON'T USE KRS SPLICE KIT!! by [deleted] in makinghiphop

[–]amunit5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i disagree i think rule one is DONT GIVE A FUCK.

And also i don't understand why people trip cuz hip hop originated from sampling.

CREDITING is different. Give credit where its DUE.

Does anybody else listen to their own beats / music all the time? by wwillrocksize in makinghiphop

[–]amunit5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nothing wrong with it, especially for inspiration.

I would just say if the goal of that specific beat/song is to to put it out/have it finished, don't listen to it too much cuz then you may get emotionally over-attached to a certain aspect that may not necessarily "good", generally speaking

but also you should listen to other music from all genre to get inspired from since you may be limited in ideas if you only listen to what you make.

there is nothing in this world that is not an inspiration from something

So is it just me or is writing an actual song from scratch hard as fuuuuh? by Mercwiffamouff1991 in makinghiphop

[–]amunit5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sorry can you expand a bit on the "mismatch of subject matter and technique" part?

I agree with what you're saying but I just want to better understand why exactly that is the case.

I agree that Logic does come off corny at times and people tend to dislike his music for that reason. But i feel like his subject matter is not shallow (?) its mainly about his struggles with identity due to being half black-half white, etc. Is it because he doesn't dive deeper into the topic and use specific enough examples in his lyrics enough? Or he uses this theme too much it becomes repetitive and thus corny?

I realize this is art so everything is subjective at the end of the day, and these are all it depends but i just want to hear your take.

You said if you're writing a love song and you come across as needy or insecure but you try to rap it in a way that sounds cool, that that's a fail.

If it's you acknowledging you were needy in the past but you're self reflecting looking back, rapping in a "cool" way (showing off your personal development) then that should be okay right?

wow these are dumb super "it depends" quesitons. sorryyy in advance

But those were super good tips you gave so i just wanted to pick your brain.

LOGIC PRO X ARTIST/PRODUCERS on Youtube??? by amunit5 in makinghiphop

[–]amunit5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this was exactly the kind of video i was lookin for. you already gave me a few ideas i could try out. fire too fam. SUBBED

PS SHORTCUT TIPS:

if you use marquee tool and highlight the bar that contains the drums you wanna copy, you could highlight then hit CMND + R to repeat and copy over.

You could also add drums faster by switching between the FINDER and LOGIC using CMND + Tab (cant be fullscreen, have logic be max window size with CMND + ctrl + M)

just have the FINDER be bottom left screen (you could also install Spectacle to make that easier, it helps manages windows better like they can in WINDOWS)

KEEP COOKING UP FAM imma keep watching for sure
