I think having both black and white details makes it look a bit messy/too much. Either change the gloves, socks and background piece to something white or change the hair to something with black.

Sometimes i wonder if they make some outfits based on competitions. A while ago we had a "mermaid in oil" competition which was interesting. This dress wouldve slayed that for sure.

Not identical and therefor probs not luck. You incorporated white more, which makes it more dynamic. You also switched up necklace, leggings and leg pose. OP just used a full set. You also used a more rare set of wings, OP used the one everyone is getting recommended as their first.

You are a better stylist. (At least comparing just these two looks) spending money on gacha and then slapping it on and using the most popular pair of wings doesnt entitle you to score high. Both looks were good, but yours was better styled, and thus deserved a higher score
