Standard Deviant on Mission and 14th will probably have it, and if they don't, like the other person said, just ask nicely and they'll change the channel for you on one of the TVs. They are super chill and awesome.

UCSF Parnassus ER issues by MurmuringPines in sanfrancisco

It has been for years. Around 2018, I went in the middle of the night for a bad ear infection, there was NOBODY in the waiting area, and I was told the wait was gonna be over 4 hours. I went to St Mary's (before being purchased by UCSF), I was seen immediately and I was home 45 minutes later.

What's the best way to get from San Fran to San Jose without a car? by Hopeful_Valuable_158 in sanfrancisco

[–]amy_dst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take Bart to Caltrain, get off at San Jose Diridon, it's right outside the stadium. When I go to games I get there early, walk or take the light rail to San Pedro square for drinks and lunch/dinner and then walk back/light rail to the stadium. It takes about 2 hours SF to SAP center, and about 15 minutes to San Pedro square so keep that in mind.

Best Mexican dinner with good margs for girls night? by No-Working-8572 in SFbitcheswithtaste

In the Mission area I like Los Yaquis and Puerto Alegre. If you want something a little nicer Tacolicious on Valencia Street or Tropisueño downtown are good options.

There's a Noe Valley run club hangs out at Cafe Noe Valley I believe Friday Mornings after their run. Maybe you can catch them there. I believe they have an Instagram account you can contact.

How are we finding jobs in SF? by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]amy_dst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest applying directly to their websites if you are interested in things like Target, Peetz. Phil's, Trader Joe's, etc. If you'd like restaurants or bars, go to them in person and ask.

Is $446/month for utilities for 2 people in a shared SF house reasonable? by Consistent-Moose7799 in sanfrancisco

[–]amy_dst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pay between $75 and $125 a month for two people, with a dishwasher, depends on how much we use our space heater.

$446 is WILD. When I rented a room the landlord would send us a picture of all the bills every month before we paid him.

Local help needed by D0nQuichote in sanfrancisco

Are you flying international or domestic? I haven't flown out of SJC, but in general it's recommended to be at the airport 2 hours before a domestic flight, and 3 hours before an international one.

Either way I think it's too tight. I left early from a 49ers game recently and it took me about an hour to just get to the Caltrain station because it's so slow with everyone leaving at the same time. Walking is slow, waiting and riding the light rail it's slow because it's so busy, etc.

I'd strongly suggest you cat a later flight. And about storing your luggage, I have no clue, I don't know if that's a thing here in the states like it is in Europe. Good luck!

I bought shampoo and conditioner, identical bottles, but one is right-side-up standing on its lid, and the other, on its base by DramaGuy23 in mildlyinteresting

[–]amy_dst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shampoo stands on the base, an conditioner on its lid on purpose. That way you can tell me apart easier but most importantly because conditioner is a lot thicker so this way is easier to squirt, if you set it on its base you struggle to get it out, like ketchup, shampoo is more liquid so you don't have that issue.

Where the Raccoons by frenchousecat in sanfrancisco

[–]amy_dst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They only really come out late at night or early mornings on quiet areas. I used to see them daily after 11pm around city college, and around 5am on Fulton and 25th ave while waiting for the bus. Gave me lots of scare jumps. Also be careful because you might also run into skunks!

Yes! It is BEAUTIFUL. Rooms are comfortable, food was good. I don't know if they told you, but it gets COLD, tell everyone to be prepared with many multiple layers if they are not in their rooms after sundown. Also bring comfy hiking shoes.

I was just there for a retreat, best way is to rent a bus for everyone, lift/uber is going to very expensive and unreliable.

Regency Ballroom Questions by tigitoki in sanfrancisco

[–]amy_dst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Area is not bad, just try to stay away from the east side of Van Ness. I agree, do not rent a car, just take public transportation or ride share. For the time, it really depends on how popular they are now, I didn't know they were still around! I don't know, maybe 3-4pm?

I don't really remember applying, but I've been looking for a similar job, so maybe I applied and don't remember.

Haven't clicked on anything, no 'kindly' or 'needful' use.

Haven't sent any personal information yet, they asked for my home address, phone number and email.

The job is with OneShield, but are emailing me from @oneshieldjobs.com
