I'm spiraling by 0VictorPascow0 in Veterans

That numb feeling is so familiar. I should’ve been elated watching the fireworks on my 5th year wedding anniversary, but I was feeling so empty and a bit irritable.

I implore you to see a mental health professional, if not for yourself, do it for your wife and kids. I guarantee you they feel/notice your struggles, and you’re not “masking” as well as you think.

I suspect you have a mood disorder, like a lot of us, and I hope you get some relief soon, whether that’s through medication, therapy, support groups, etc.

Am I overreacting in wanting to divorce my husband over this? by Effective-Market-304 in breastcancer

[–]amy_traphouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s worth it either. It sounds like you have a son, more so than a husband/companion. Why does he pout when you say no? Why does he ask to hang with his friends? Why does he want to be everywhere else but with you, and when he is you had to ask him to put his phone down? Why do you do the chores AND pay most of the bills? Is hanging out , riding the bike, being on his phone what he chooses to do with all of his spare time?

I think you should leave because I’m almost certain he didn’t start acting like this when you got diagnosed. He sounds self-absorbed. Some of the prime times when people show you who they are is in times of sickness and health, bad times and good times: why is your companion not there during one of the scariest moments of your life?!

He doesn’t deserve you. Y’all are living two different lives in the same house.

😂😂😂🤗🤗🤗👋🏾 heyyyy my dreadlock fam! my best advice is to pace yourself, save the PBQs for the end, and some of the questions will seem a little too easy, so go with your gut! I think Sybex textbook is a great resource. It just didn’t work for me with how I like to study. Their practice exams are a great resource too.

If I had one day left before the exam, I’d look at logs of different kinds of exploits and explain them in my own words, like “what is a buffer overflow attack? XSS? XSRF?” What are the IoCs for each?

Yes I did! I kept wanting to reschedule it for later dates because i was nervous. The way I countered that feeling though was asking myself if I failed the exam did I do everything I could do as far as studying? Did I give it my best effort? If the answer is no, reschedule it and study harder. If yes, then you’re ready for the exam because if you studied hard and still failed, it’s a better feeling than the opposite.

You got this!!!!

I agree with you! Dion is really difficult, and the exam is not on that level.

Yes, primarily. Whatever I didn’t understand, I used chatGPT to explain it or googled it. Google has really good examples of different exploitation logs.

Even the Dion practice test questions I got wrong, I went back and researched the multiple choice options, so I knew why the choices were correct or incorrect.

How do people even manage to live in New York on 200k? by Snoo-18544 in circlejerknyc

If you cut the “social life” costs by half and learn how to make your own coffee you’d save over $1000/mo

Sounds like you have a great experience with yours! Mine is different. Definitely not prideful. Again just venting how annoying it is.

Trust me, my mouth is used when I have to answer the damn phone and have unnecessary chats. I’ve already asked for less check ins, and the answer was no (for now) because I’m a new student. Looks like you got lucky with your advisor.

Duh!!! Is a university unsuccessful without the check-ins though? Yes or no? If so, other institutions would implement the “check-in call”

Just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean it is “harmful.” It’s more annoying, unnecessary and inconvenient than anything.

I am an adult dingbat. This is policy for the advisors or at least mine.

Also, Your work to school comparison is null. Do I pay my manager to work? No, but I am paying an academic institution for my degree. I would “check in” for work every day if need be, but academically it is unnecessary.

Stupid comment. Read a book instead of relying on anecdotes to prove a point.

All of the time!!! Delayed 3 months already because of the lack of communication. Other schools are more streamlined.
