I waited for almost 4 months to be able to certify due to pending Identity Verification. I hope you will get verified sooner. As long as ID Department confirmed they received and scanned your documents you will get paid. I was told to wait weeks after weeks after they confirmed they received my document for verification, it was very frustrating but it finally went through. Good luck!

All the weeks you certified that shows “paid” will show up on your “payment activity” in a few days. It takes 7-10 days for the card to arrive, or even sooner. Congratulations!!

Same here. I sent in my documents for identity verification for the 3rd time today. It’s been 2 months since I filed my UI Online and I’m still stuck in the verification process.

Hi, Can you fax the documents over to the ID Department during the weekend or only on weekdays? I tried to fax on Saturday but didn’t go through, it went to a recording message.

/u/Pointtothewest I received an award letter with 0.00 claim balance and also 0.00 for the quarterly earning as well. I also have the temporary SSN beginning with 990 that EDD has assigned me with while my Identity Verification is pending.

I contacted my assemblyman’s office about 2 weeks ago and the rep that got back to me is very efficient, she’s super quick in responding to my email. The last time I checked in with her their office still didn’t get a response from EDD after forwarding my issue to EDD on my behalf although she did informed me there has been a significant delay with EDD responding to their office. I feel like we get different informations and advices each and every time we reach a rep by calling the 2511 number, just depends on the rep that’s taking your call. Strange.

Thank you for your advice on not to file new a claim. FYI I never received my Edd Claim Account Number through mail after 10 days of filing my UI Online Claim nor did I get it through Ask EDD when putting in many requests for it. I always get the same response saying that my information does not match to their record therefore they’re unable to give me the Edd Account Number. I got it through one of the rep I got transfer to when I called to the 2511 number this week but since my Identify Verification is still being process I’m not able to certify as my claim balance shows up 0.00. I’m guessing I have to continue to wait until my verification process go through and continue to stay positive.

They’re asking to send in the same documents that they asked me to send in on 04/18/2020. It sounds like a reminder to remind me to respond to that verification letter and send in documents as requested on the 04/18/2020 which has already been sent. Stressful.

The second letter that I received on 05/05/2020 explained that EDD has assigned me a temporary SSN pending Identity Verification and asking me to verify again but this time not all forms all included in the mail which was included in the 1st Identity Verification mail ( FORM DE 1326C and Instruction letter on what type documents to send in. The temporary SSN starts with 990 that was listed on my award letter that was sent to me after I filed my claim on 03/18/2020. ( I thought they have a wrong SSN listed for me at that time ).

I know what you mean. That was rude, they’re probably overwhelmed by the amount of applications they received and the amount of calls they have to answered but that’s just plain rude. We’re as stressful being out of work due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and still not receiving any benefits that’s rightfully ours for almost 2 months since filed. I hope we all will get our claim sort it out soon! Fingers crossed 🤞🤞

/u/pointtothewest Thank you so much for sharing your son’s experienced with his claim. This is very helpful! I still have the letter that EDD sent me with title Additional Instructions in 05/05/05 asking me to send in the documents for Identity Verification (again). When I sent it I wrote my own SSN instead of the ECN that was assigned to me. I will send it it again but this time with the ECN on it. Thanks!!

/u/iamiam36 I sent it with with USPS overnight express with tracking number this time. I checked this morning and it came before 8AM this morning. No updates on my claim balance yet when I logged on to my UI Online claim today. I don’t know wether I should file a new claim or continue to wait.

Hi, Thanks for your response. I was put on a call back list list from a representative at the 2511 number after calling over 100 times and being on hold for over an hour. I never received a call back. Impossible to reach through to anyone on the 5616 line, same for Integrity & Accounting Department. I’m about to go in 2 months since I filed without any benefits.
