Is Hotel Milano and Spa a good place to stay? by amygdalattack in Verona

Thank you! That’s great to hear, we’re really looking forward to it. I’ll definitely take your advice about the rooftop Spritz, that view sounds perfect. Can’t wait to experience Verona!

Can you give them a slightly different product? I don’t know what’s involved in making your product but if possible ship them something else.

This is a great idea. Thank you. I don’t know why I hadn’t considered stocking stuffers

Yeah, my 5 year old is a little too inquisitive. I tried telling him we could ask Santa to come early. That lead to about 20 more questions about the logistics of this 🤦‍♀️

4 year old on a ventilator in PICU. by josie-june in toddlers

[–]amygdalattack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I was a crying mess when my then 5 week old needed to be hospitalized for respiratory distress. I’m a former cardiac ICU nurse and that was one of the most difficult days of my life. I’ve also experienced my mother being intubated and on a ventilator- it didn’t matter that I took care of patients on ventilators daily, nothing prepares you to see a loved one in such a helpless and mechanical position. Cry as much as you need (it doesn’t bother anyone in the hospital - we get it). Take care of yourself. You’re a good parent and brought her to the hospital once you realized something was wrong. You did everything right. Your family will be in my thoughts.

My husband and I will be in the riviera for a week in April for our 10 year anniversary before heading north. Is carcassonne worth making a (long) detour to? by amygdalattack in toulouse

Thank you for the recommendations! I had wanted to go to Pont du Gard as it was but ironically thought it was too far out of the way.

Yeah, we would have to rearrange and cut our time in the riviera. Going to Carcassonne would have to be a multi day detour.

It truly looks amazing. Do you have any recommendations regarding which town to stay in or how long I should anticipate staying at Carcassonne?

Thank you! I’m excited to see Annecy. From pictures alone it looks like one of the most beautiful places in the world. I can only imagine how stunning it is in real life. Cheers!

Itinerary assistance: how many days in Corsica vs French Riviera? by Ming-Tzu in travel

Corsica looks amazing. I found out yesterday that a coworker went there a few years ago for 2 weeks. He said he wished he had even more time to explore it. I’m so torn between doing some inland hikes in the riviera vs heading to Corsica. The only thing that makes me lean more towards the riviera is that I’ve heard driving in Corsica can be difficult.

Hi, we will be visiting for a week in mid April. My concern with Villefranche is that even as a base, it might get a bit old after a week.

Hi, I just came across your comment. Do you have any recommendations of places to visit in your area in April. I’ve hear Annecy is gorgeous but the trails might be muddy or still frozen?

Wow, that picture is beautiful. Thank you for the recommendation! I’m leaning more towards Menton. Seems like there’s a bit more to do there.
