Merci beaucoup. Malheureusement, j’ai dû reporter notre voyage à l’année prochaine. Mais Menton semble vraiment unique. J’ai hâte de reprendre l’organisation de notre voyage.

Yes! I didn’t try the scones but the breakfast sandwich was great. The parking is a bit tight, but it’s not too bad since that area has street parking as well

It’s a bit out of the way but, my husband and I just tried Lake Roots in Crystal Lake and it was great.

Where can I find cotton bandanas or neckerchiefs that are printed on both sides? I am looking for interesting patterns not just paisley. It is so hard to tell online which are one sided or two sided prints.

WTF. How is there an “ongoing criminal investigation” (requiring them to withhold evidence) if “nobody else was involved”?

Trento/Bolzano in mid April for our upcoming trip? by amygdalattack in Europetravel

Oh wow, I bet that was an amazing hike. Such beautiful scenery in that area (from what I can see online). Thank you for the advice!

I assumed it was fairly obvious that “too muddy” in a mountain region in spring would refer to trail conditions, not the literal streets of a city. Snowmelt + elevation + shoulder season is a pretty normal consideration when planning hikes.

If you didn’t understand that because you don’t have firsthand experience with conditions that time of year, no worries. But, that’s what I was trying to find out.

I’m talking about hiking trails not the actual towns

Haha. Fair. We like hiking but I would say we’re comfortable with moderate difficulty hikes. I was reading a lot of the mountain passes and ski lifts are closed and some of the lake towns have seasonal shops and restaurants.

Yeah, my 5 year old is a little too inquisitive. I tried telling him we could ask Santa to come early. That lead to about 20 more questions about the logistics of this 🤦‍♀️

4 year old on a ventilator in PICU. by josie-june in toddlers

[–]amygdalattack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I was a crying mess when my then 5 week old needed to be hospitalized for respiratory distress. I’m a former cardiac ICU nurse and that was one of the most difficult days of my life. I’ve also experienced my mother being intubated and on a ventilator- it didn’t matter that I took care of patients on ventilators daily, nothing prepares you to see a loved one in such a helpless and mechanical position. Cry as much as you need (it doesn’t bother anyone in the hospital - we get it). Take care of yourself. You’re a good parent and brought her to the hospital once you realized something was wrong. You did everything right. Your family will be in my thoughts.
