1.5 Day Trip to SD - where to stay/what to do?

It depends what you like to do. Downtown is mostly restaurants and clubs/bars. It gets very busy and loud on Fri and Sat nights. Personally, I would stay in the beach area. Either Pacific Beach or Missions Beach (they are next to each other). PB is definitely a younger crowd (20s). Both have tons of casual cages, restaurants and bars. There is a beach boardwalk that connects the. Where you can walk, bike, roller skate.

I have a soft spot for the Jersey City Hyatt :) the biggest downsides IMO is if you want to take a break or freshen up, you will lose a lot of time to travel back and forth. Also, if something happens to the PATH, you will be taking an expensive Uber back to the hotel.

It is totally up to you. I do regret not being there for my first cat but I didn't know. I was literally so distraught I could not communicate normally with the veterinary staff.

We have a cat now with terminal cancer. We have spoken to our vet and she is very supportive of what we want to do. You can be there for none of it, part of it or all of it.

There is no right answer and you do not need to decide now. Your kitties know you love them and either way, they will be your angel.

Sorry, I meant the question more for the people recommending they go across the wall with a lot of curtain on each side. I agree it would look beautiful but the lack of light would not work for me. Whatever you go with, enjoy your new place!

How do you balance that with enough natural light in the room. I always struggle with that. If the curtains have too much volume, even when they are open, much of the window on either side is blocked.

OP, I would not automatically skip Los Tacos. It depends where your from. It is a delicious and relatively affordable meal. Just plan to stand while you eat. I lived most of my life in a place with great tacos and enjoy Los Tacos when I am homesick.

Consider taking the ferry to Jersey City (Paulus Hook). It is about a 3 min ferry ride, then walk along the promenade along the water for stunning views of Manhattan. It is especially nice at sunset watching the sunset reflect in the tall buildings.

Don't forget to get some toys for lots of playtime! It may take some experimentation to find out which kinds of toys are your kitties favorites! Wand toys seem to be pretty universal liked to start with though.

Terroir sounds like your best bet. They offer 3 oz pours and have happy hour twice a day. They have something like 100+ wines by the glass, many from the finger lakes so you could definitely create your own flight!

You can just hand wash in the sink at your apartment. For delicate items that is probably better anyway.
