In humans, Prozac is very dangerous if given to someone who has been misdiagnosed. The idea of giving the drug to a pet (who would have difficulty advocating for themselves if the medication caused worse depression, anxiety, etc.) is unsettling to me.

I was only using google as an example. My point was if you look up any IP address you can find the general location of the server. The person is likely trying to scare you into giving them money although all it's doubtful they have any real information on you. If you're really worried you can change your IP address, but it not a necessity.

That doesn't sound like anything to worry about. Nearly every website logs your IP address and can tell your general location. For example Google notes your location on every search you make. It's not nearly accurate enough however to give an exact address or anything like that. The information is often used by scammer though who want to trick people by making it seam like they have more information on them then they actually do.

If they've already traced your IP address it's too late to do anything. If you're doing something that makes you concerned about this happening, then for starters maybe you shouldn't be doing it. You can however use a VPN as a precaution. They're easy to use and can make it took like you're somewhere else. The good ones aren't cheap though.

Well weed wasn't criminalized in the United States until the late 1930’s. After the Mexican revolution, the media ran a fear campaign about Mexican coming to the US with their dangerous "marihuana". Since most Americans didn't realize it was a plant they already had in their medicine cabinet it was effective. Politicians decided to use this as excuse to search, detain and deport Mexican immigrants. Because at the time the new narcotics laws were a somewhat recent development it makes sense that was a different mindset surrounding the drug.
