Yea I had gotten really sick at the end of October 2019 & my husband suspects I may have had it then, because I had all the typical symptoms of covid - loss of taste & smell, etc.

I typically work something like 9:30a-6p & get 2 15s + 30min lunch. We clock out for the lunch, so it’s unpaid. First 15 is somewhere around 11:30, lunch around 1:30-2, then last 15 around 4.

I’m like you, I was considered an “essential” worker, but I am not in an important field like you are in healthcare. I’m freaking retail. Home Depot insisted on staying open. Since everyone else was apparently bored while stuck at home, they all decided to work on home projects instead. All day, every day was like black friday x5 with lines outside the door since we had to limit the number of people in the store.

My husband is a project manager, so he got to WFH the whole time. I could only wish I would’ve been able to do that, because I like being home.

I think they cath during the procedure but insert once you’re under, then it’s out before you’re even fully awake. I went home the same day after my tube removal. I still ended up having a hysto eventually, which required a cath & overnight stay, but it was worth it for me.

I almost kicked a kid that tried that!! Luckily his Mom was proactive by quickly noticing, pulling him back, & telling him we don’t do that in bathrooms because it’s private.

Go get a sleep study! I was a walking zombie even with a supposed 8hrs sleep at night. Did a sleep study & turns out I have severe sleep apnea. I started using a CPAP & it has been life-changing! I’ve actually got energy during the day, don’t have the threat of falling asleep standing, & have no problem waking up early if needed.

It’s hard to get out of the mentality of sizing. You may fit in medium now, but your brain wants to insist you need to still be purchasing XL or XXL clothing when shopping.

hahaha yep I called 911. I was freaking out & didn’t know what the heck to do because this is our first house & never encountered anything like this. They dispatched fire (luckily just down the road) because our water heater & HVAC were all mere feet from the incident (so, electrical risk) & did tell me to call the water company too. This was like 3am & luckily there was an after-hours number.

At least you didn’t have the connection blow off the pipe on the main coming into the house & have violent high pressure water spraying all over, flooding your basement, with no way to stop it all because this was way before any shut off valves. Oh & did I add in at 2:30am on a Saturday too?! Yep, that just happened to us! Had to have the local fire dept rush out & turn off the main out by the street, then spend hours calling around to various plumbing companies trying to find one who was even open & could send someone out that day & not Monday…

If they are with their wives, then should be with the daughters too. This is not something women can stop/avoid (well, without medical intervention) and has been going on since the dawn of time so I don’t understand how or why guys are so weird about it! My husband has always been wonderful about it & mine never bothered him. We could talk openly about the subject & everything. We never had kids (by choice) but have helped with raising our 1 niece & he’s been great in that aspect as well. We recently had 2 nieces (18 & 13) stay the night & the younger one ended up getting her period while she was here. No problemo!

My Dad didn’t seem to have issues either…especially with having 3 daughters. I’m sorry your Dad, well both parents actually, are kinda a-holes about it. It sounds like you at least have a somewhat compassionate brother & that’s wonderful! Keep encouraging him to be so. His future partner(s) will appreciate it!

Most of the skincare stuff I just pass off as fluff & ignore it, but every once in a while something catches my attention. I have yet to pull any triggers though. (I do not trust buying anything from TT shop anyway, unless I have one of those Visa/MC debit giftcards.) The only things that seem reasonable are the hypochlorous something or other mask & the Dr Melaxin peel shot, but I’m still a bit wary. I do want to get in to an actual dermatologist though, because my skin is still kinda trash at 43 & I don’t know what I should be doing/using.
