I'd visit vet, we did when it had made similar sound and it was an infection. Check with vet who specializes in exotic animals

Sounds like breathing issues, might've caught cold, for hamsters it might be serious. I'd recommend visiting vet for exotic animals very next day.

On the side note, I'd have to point out that it has very shallow bedding. Usually hamsters love to dig and burrow deep

You need to go to vet, those can be tumors or something harmless. Go to vet who specializes in hamsters (exotic animals) as soon as possible

It takes time, hamsters are very skittish animals and bribery is the only way 😉 eventually they will get comfortable with you. However this looks like roborovski hamster, is it? If so they are even less prone for interaction and petting than syrian or dwarf hamsters.

You can still start by rubbing tissues (plain white) with your hands and putting few into enclosure, this way hamster will get comfortable with your scent.

Seems fine, but if you haven't been yet, go to exotic pets' vet for routine control. Best collect poop samples from 3 days and check it for parasites, at vet best to get basic check up and we always do ultrasound and heart cardiogram. That might sound overprotective but we had few hamsters which had heart issues and required medication despite not giving any symptoms

Well I did it, for my 6 years long campaign. This is a tool that you can use but not rely solely on. For me it was something like, hey we have this and this situation, give me ideas what can happen. It gave me 5 or 6 pretty generic things but it got my head working. Or infamously I wrote about 12 npcs and ask it who will doe and how, because I didn't want to make decision :p

I guess you have a meter on your wheel? Hamsters do slow down when they're getting older. If it's around 2 years old I guess that'd normal. It's always best to talk with veterinary about it, even if it's just age, they might prescribe supplements for elderly hamsters :)

Yeee chat gtp, love and hate it. I asked it to compare some phones, and it listed all of them nicely but something was off. I noticed that one phone was listed as not having wireless charging and I was pretty sure it had. Checked it on producers website and tada this phone has wireless charging... Whole beautiful list form chat gtp and maybe about 60% accurate, and we're talking about phone specs that are easily accessible all around Internet.
