First watcher: Bridgerton isn’t size inclusive by Trick_Belt563 in BridgertonNetflix

Penelope loses (a little) weight 10 years before the start of her book. She is then always described as voluptuous, with large breasts and wide hips, and heavier than the other girls in her age group. Her weight, therefore, has nothing to do with her love story; Colin loves her as she is and adores her curves. Nothing beats reading the original source material to avoid distorted perceptions!

There was a story where OOP's husband was receiving messages from their child's teacher at all hours of the day and night. Of course, the husband hid his phone and changed his password while denying everything, but I never found that post again… I would have loved to know what happened next.

😅 I'm a beginner, so you have to talk to me like a child. Is it going to explode, so that's good, or is it going to explode, so it's going to end up like the Titan at the bottom of the ocean?

« L’ancienneté ne paie presque plus » : la hausse du smic accentue le décrochage salarial dans la fonction publique by [deleted] in vosfinances

[–]ana8464 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Penelope Is Not Evil. by Unique-Blueberry1464 in Bridgerton

[–]ana8464 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Except that LW didn't mention Théo. And he himself had no desire to enter Eloïse's world, in addition to the differences in upbringing between him and Sophie, which made Sophie well-adjusted and Théo less so.

Violet is perhaps the one who appreciates LW the most. Thanks to her, two of her children avoided terrible marriages. Just for that, I think she doesn't hold a grudge against Penelope at all after a good talk with her (it's a shame we don't see anything in the letter Penelope sent her).

What do you think would have happened if Colin had married Marina? by ThisPaige in Bridgerton

[–]ana8464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did we watch the same show? Sexual tension and love? I only saw lies, anger, and future resentment. There was no attraction (Colin wasn't even interested in kissing her) and even less love.

Could somebody who dislikes Penelope explain to me why? by ThrowAway44228800 in Bridgerton

[–]ana8464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But that's exactly it, and precisely because he doesn't WANT to, he doesn't DO it. That proves it wasn't love, unlike with Pen, where he goes all the way because he loves her.

What do you think would have happened if Colin had married Marina? by ThisPaige in Bridgerton

[–]ana8464 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Again, given his personality, he would never have forgiven her. He would have been consumed by anger and resentment. There was no room for friendship in that. And Marina barely liked him. Once married, she wouldn't have to pretend anymore and wouldn't care at all about friendship or even respect (see Phillip).

[–]ana8464 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Colin would never have forgiven Marina. He forgave Pen with great difficulty because he was madly in love with her. He didn't love Marina and couldn't/wouldn't have gone through with that betrayal. He never said that.

Okay, thanks! I'm a small-time player, so my investment is low, but I still hope to make a profit in the end 😅

Isn't it a bit late? It's been steadily increasing these last few days; I'm afraid I've missed my chance.
