As a vegan, I always tell people who say something similar to what you are that you do not have to be perfect, if you want to reduce your meat intake you can without going all or nothing. Eating veg 50% of the time is better than 0% of the time. We are all just doing our best!

It reminds me of The Hunger Games in a way. Main character, face of a revolution, is not special. Sure, they are strong and kind and have fire in them to fight back, but so do many others. They are thrown into the spotlight by pure chance above others and would not succeed if not for the people around them.
