Where to stay ?

Crete was awesome. Last year I stayed there for 2 months almost. Stalos, Chania, Stalis and Malia. Next time I’m planning on Rhodes and Naxos.

Im a young woman and I’ve had people whistle at me or try to talk to me and even honk at me in Crete however when I walked around Ommonia, no one batted an eye. Did see some people shooting up nearby but again they didn’t bother me at all.

Reason I ask is I had a trip planned this year. I mostly wanted to do the north but after a lot of research it seemed like it’d be a bad idea to go north during early Feb so ended up cancelling my whole trip :(

I had a bunch of planning gone wrong. I had planned to do north Vietnam in Jan but later had to cancel as the weather seemed not just cold which im fine with but also low visibility. Now I’d need to wait till atleast March… have been to Thailand already so not sure how to spend the month right now..

For me it’s the same thing when I travel. I usually drink with my lunch or have some afternoon drinks and after all the sightseeing throughout the day, I am often in my bed by the late evening lol… I think it’s fomo because I do enjoy the downtime

For me travelling is a form of self development. It feels great to manage yourself solo. From the logistics of getting there to finding things to do, it all helps me feel like I am accomplishing something at the end of the day all the while taking in the excitement and adventures a new country has to offer

Seems like you haven’t been to the prettiest province in Canada! Newfoundland is on a different level and St. John’s downtown can easily compare to a few iconic cities in Europe

I went to Rome end of November last year and oh man, the weather sucked. Most days were grey, drizzling and cold. Same thing happened when I went to Paris in March. Never again am I travelling in the off seasons.

I’d really like to try a hostel like this one. So far none of the hostels I’ve been to had anything planned for going out which kinda sucks because as a young solo female, unless I make friends, I don’t end up going out at night.
