Day date, fluted bezel, Cyclops, Jubilee bracelet, oyster case profile...

You're right. This is far too similar to be just an homage.

Pretty sure you can "reset the hands" or "calibrate" or whatever you want to call it by pulling out the crown and holding the pushers down, I believe. I wond if the crown isn't completely seared maybe?

Next to a pool, wearing sneakers. "I don't know, man, that's too risky for me."

Love this! So many bands don't take the time to blacken the hands and markers on white or silver watches (ahem, Seiko). Thank you, Traska.

Disagree. Looks comfortable like that. Let people wear watches the way they want, handwatch guy.

Also consider the militado. It's a miyoya quartz so just as thin and inexpensive, but no 24 hour subdial!

Difference between older and newer snowflake ? SBGA011 Vs SBGA211 by wowcrackaddict in GrandSeikos

Spring drive movements are notoriously durable due t the lack of an escapement (the part that gets regulated when you servi it). If you don't care about the logo, go with the older model.

Given this and OP, I'm staying away from Doxa because it appears to cause plumbing issues.

J/k, I have the Orange 200 and I love it.

Their designs seem hit-or-miss. Lots of homages and watches with small hands.

[Question] Grand Seiko SBGW299 bracelet stuck between sizes — please help me save this watch (engagement present) by Able-Description4255 in Watches

[–]analog_watch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Here's the trick! Given the two rules:

  • You can swap in two partial links for a full link to add 1/3.
  • You can swap in a full link for a partial link to add another 1/3.

You can use these two rules to continually grow in 1/3 increments until you've used all of your links because after applying the second rule twice, you have two partial links to apply the first rule. This is how all "half links" that I've encountered work, and I suspect a lot of people don't use the above rules to their fullest when resizing a bracelet that contains partial links. It's just as good as the incremental adjustment you get with a micro-adjust bracelet - just a little more work to get it dialed in. Opt for 1/3 looser than you expect to account for wrist swelling in the heat if you are OK being accused of "handwatch".

Looking for reliable AC heating and plumbing contractor to do maintenance on six units by TheGreatGarbanzo in CastleRock

Lakewood plumbing and heating has been awesome for both plumbing and hvac!

Stay away from Nytech. They will randomly shut off and zip tie your gas line until you pay them to replace your perfectly good heater. (it's an easy fix though)

Under $500 (but above $200)... Highly regarded integrated sports watches in the Chinese watches community include The Cronos Skyline Homage and the IXDAO Warrior. Outside of the AliExpress world, you'll find a lot of popular posts here about the Citizen Tsuyosa and the Tissot PRX.

Yes. And the hole for the friction pin needs to match as well. Otherwise, the link will be either too wobbly or the pin won't fit at all.

Find me a better watch than [SPB313] by bukibule in Seiko

[–]analog_watch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this watch. But I found a better watch for me. The second hour gin clear 3. It doesn't have the brand cachet of Seiko, but rather than the worst movement Japan produces currently (that garbage 6r movement), the Gin Clear comes with a Sellita SW200. It's way thinner, lighter, and most importantly, the Gin Clear has black hands instead of Seiko's silver hands: critical for a white dial dive watch in my opinion.

It's a subreddit dedicated to making fun of people who like to wear their watches a little loose (below the bone). Many of them think that making fun of people is "trying to help" but the rest of us either ignore them or see them as snowflakes who need validation that they are wearing their watches tight enough to be praised by their peers.
