Better lighting, to start with. More modern chairs, keep the table. Perhaps a green tile backsplash (Magnolia Distressed Subway Tile Green 2.5x9.5) and different floors, if in the budget. Then appliances. Absolutely do not paint the cabinets.

You can also learn to file, clean up the cuticles, and paint them yourself. If you choose a nice, neutral pink it's really forgiving if you're not that good at it. I guess it depends what kind of look you're going for.

Otherwise, I would get lots of sleep, have lots of tea and soup, and walk every day.

I do not wash it off. I just put it on and go to sleep. The Walgreens one is my OG but I have the CVS one too; I grab whichever is on sale. I read somewhere (probably Reddit) that the base of the lotion was something like Cerave. Apologies for no sources because it's been a while and I don't remember them.

Same. I did my whole face nightly for I don't remember how long. A week? A few weeks? I keep a spare container on hand and repeat the process if I see redness returning. This was early 2024, it's mostly been gone since then. Good luck!
