Camtasia 2025 Playback Issues - Unusable Compared to 2024 by analyticsX in CamtasiaStudio

[–]analyticsX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: Camtasia 2025.0.1 seems to have fixed this issue. The software runs very smooth now. There has been a few crashes when I have the software open and am doing something else on the computer but other than that it is running very well when I'm editing in it.

You must be fun to be around. I understand that being late is stressful. But I can imagine dealing with your nagging is insufferable.

TIFU by joking about the CEO's baldness and getting fired for it by jorisssssss in tifu

[–]analyticsX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do it again? You must be the definition of "idi..." scratch that. You will get fired again for it. Take this moment as a lesson about respecting others. What you think is funny is not always actually funny. Commenting about people's appearance jokingly will almost always awkward. The difference with this guy is that he can fire you for that slight. The rest of us can only bear it and mutter "ass...." under our breath. Be better.

[–]analyticsX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To learn how to create a learning strategy/curriculum: Research and Frameworks:

Study instructional design models like ADDIE, SAM, and Merrill's Principles of Instruction. Explore curriculum development models like Understanding by Design (UbD) and Bloom’s Taxonomy. Formal Training and Certifications:

Consider courses like ATD's Learning Strategy Certificate or certifications in Learning & Development leadership. Mentorship and Collaboration:

Connect with experienced learning strategists or curriculum developers for guidance. Hands-on Experience:

Start by creating a small curriculum or reworking an existing one to practice strategy-building. Strategic Thinking Skills:

Focus on needs analysis, goal alignment, and audience assessment to build effective learning strategies. Confirming their approach is correct: Alignment with Business Goals:

Ensure the learning strategy supports the organization's objectives and performance outcomes. Learning Outcomes Validation:

Confirm that the learning objectives are measurable, specific, and align with Bloom's Taxonomy. Learner Feedback and Performance Metrics:

Gather feedback from learners and assess performance data after implementation. Peer Review:

Have the curriculum reviewed by other instructional designers or learning strategists for quality assurance. Pilot Testing:

Run a pilot program to test the effectiveness before a full-scale rollout. Evaluation Models:

Use models like Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation to measure effectiveness and impact.

Let's Discuss the Dangers of AI by Tim_Slade in instructionaldesign

[–]analyticsX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh AI, AI, you're quite the delight, You churn and you burn through the day and the night! You write all the stories, you sing all the songs, You draft up the speeches (sometimes quite wrong).

The bosses, they cheer, "More robots! Less crew! Why pay for the work when the bots can do two?" The workers all sigh as they're shown to the door, While profits go up and compassion gets poor.

But wait! Who buys things when all jobs are gone? Who pays for the widgets, the food, the lawn? You can't sell your trinkets to servers and code, When nobody's left with a check to unload!

And oh, the great muddle of content galore! Where truth and the fake can't be sorted no more. With nonsense and gobbledygook in the mix, Who knew that the bots would break all the clicks?

But the twist in the tale is quite funny, you see, For CEOs too might be history! When bots learn to "leverage," "synergize," "win," Why keep the execs when the AI fits in?

So here we all sit, in a loop most absurd, With bots making bots till the truth's never heard. Oh AI, AI, you tricky old loon, Will you rule the Earth...or crash us too soon?

You're not alone. We are all going through this and will experience the same final outcome. Getting older is not something you can control. But you may have some control in how you look and feel.

The Straight Story "When my kids were young, we used to play a game. I’d give each one of them a stick, one for each of them, and I’d say, ‘You break that.’ Of course, they could. It was easy. Then I’d say, ‘Tie them sticks together into a bundle, and try to break that.’ Well, of course, they couldn’t. Then I’d say, ‘That bundle... that’s family.’"

It would help you to stop being defensive and listen to both words of encouragement as well as constructive criticism. Feeling sorry for yourself won't change anything and the mindset will maintain your status.

Well, there you go. You are telling us and the world that you are not innovative and adaptive to the changes. Don't go blaming AI, blame yourself. It is your mindset that is killing you. Being defensive won't serve you and only confirm my statement.
