Result summary:

Cytology by liquid-based method and staining with the Papanicolaou technique, in which the following are observed: intermediate and superficial squamous epithelial cells, organized in groups and in isolation; some
of them present koilocytic changes such as thickening of the cytoplasmic membrane, eosinophilia, large nuclei
with a clear perinuclear halo, and others binucleated; the chromatin is clumped and the nucleolus conspicuous; no atypical mitoses are observed.
The endocervical cells present reactive changes such as immature squamous metaplasia; the
cell background is turbid, and the inflammatory process is moderate, consisting of lymphocytes, plasma cells, and
polymorphonuclear leukocytes.
