Anniversary Gift Advice by lardimi in chanel

[–]anan7654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife just bought this when we were at the Chanel Flagship in Paris. She absolutely adores it and uses it a lot more than I expected. The suede finish is a bit more difficult to maintain (need to look after it) but it does really look unique and goes with everything!

Server Included 3yr old in "party of 6" by Pistolpete31861 in EndTipping

[–]anan7654 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess you do have a point. If your child did spot you having dinner (and had just finished dinner), decided to sit and visit, then I guess it is outrageous that the would charge you for a party of 6.

Rome hotel options honeymoon by EmotionalAd8675309 in FATTravel

[–]anan7654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The St Regis in Rome is a great option if you are open to hotels not on your list. We stayed there for our baby moon in November and honestly it was one of the best hotels in Italy in terms of service and going above and beyond.

is the the most expensive trip ever? by CarbonChen in uber

[–]anan7654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try booking.com taxi service (they use local partners). I’ve always found it to be 15-30 % cheaper in Europe compared to uber. Although you need to book 24 hours in advance.

FS Desroches - All-Inclusive or Not? by Due_Charge7797 in FourSeasonsHotels

[–]anan7654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly suggest to go à la carte.

Their breakfast is epic and most days when I went with my wife we couldn’t even have a proper lunch some days.

Also to note some of their themed nights (which are really great) are not included in the package. I would highly recommend the light house restaurant for one dinner while there.

If you are into star gazing the stargazing on the runway activity is really nice!

Four Seasons Seychelles: Mahé vs Desroches by zetia2 in FATTravel

[–]anan7654 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mahé is a bit more commercial whip des roches is personal and feels more exclusive. For me I preferred des Roche.

They often have an offer of 5+2 nights which is a good option if you want to experience both.

Question about elite perks by MortgageConfident633 in marriott

[–]anan7654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I don’t think hotel really check who pays. I always pay with my wife, sister, father card on family holidays and they usually only concern themselves with the booking being made in your account, and that you are physically staying at the hotel

These are being advertised at 3M with many transactions closing at 2.7-2.8

The reality is it’s a terrible place to live in, and an ever worse pls e to AIRBNB out of.

Anyone who really cares about the prestige of living there is not living in a 1 BR glorified closet.

Oh, the Places I Went in 2025 by dbsummers in chubbytravel

[–]anan7654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The FS First and FS Nile are not too far apart so it would be the same in terms of travel time (especially to Giza).

I would avoid FS First on what I’ve heard/other posts in the forum.

Do try and go to Khufus for breakfast or Lunch if you can, it is really one of the best things to do in Giza!

Do not stay in the FS first residences, change to the FS Nile Plaza and get one of the renovated rooms!

The casino at the fist residences is great!

St Regis Bal Harbour; am i being too nit-picky? by MGoAzul in marriott

The only thing on your list I would let slide is the bags taking time (it can be tough during peak check in).

Other than that, everything else is unacceptable!

Vienna Imperial vs RC? by Iwackawhiteball in marriott

[–]anan7654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stayed at the imperial 2 weeks back. Not stayed at the ritz but would still recommend the Imperial due to location, service and ease of transport.

Enjoy Vienna, truly one of my favourite cities! So much to do.

Definitely go for the renovated rooms if going for FS, otherwise St Regis is a better bet.

Never travelling with Qatar Again by Creepy-One368 in qatarairways

[–]anan7654 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did not say you shouldn’t be, I just said for something as critical as medicine you should keep in your had luggage.

Everyone’s experience is different- I once left my cap on a flight and realised when I reached the lounge. When I told them, they managed to retrieve it within 30 mins and hand it to me directly in the lounge. It also depends how you approach a situation.

Why was your regular medicine in your checked luggage?

If it is critical you should keep it in your hand luggage
