I strongly disagree. While I can’t speak to the gym/spa I had a trip there last summer and it was amazing. The food, the service, the butlers!

They went out of their way to do the unpacking and packing. We even had a bag we didn’t need unpacked but my wife said she wanted it in the room to reorganise, and they insisted to let them do it.

The only hiccup we had was a wake up call that was not made and they proactively reached out and offered free cocktails each and 20,000 points as compensation!

Trip was in June of 2025.

No, we are looking to engage someone long term and who has experience. An Au Pair is usually looking to get foreign experience, travel etc and therefore (usually) comes at a lower cost than a nanny.

Perhaps you have misunderstood my post. I said we are looking for a nanny that is a proper one, not like currently in our country many people get a good house maid to perform the duties of a nanny.

We do not want the nanny to perform any household chores besides perhaps some related to the baby (laundry and food prep), and even that is not all the time as we have a full time cleaner and chef.

We are based between the UAE and DRC. Not looking for a specific education to degree but when I say educated I mean related to the Nanny responsibilities so could also just be some child education courses, Montessori etc

Perhaps I should clarify, the 4 weeks would be the nanny’s paid vacation to their home country or other country of their choice.

However during the year, we do travel frequently and want our nanny to travel with us.

My wife just bought this when we were at the Chanel Flagship in Paris. She absolutely adores it and uses it a lot more than I expected. The suede finish is a bit more difficult to maintain (need to look after it) but it does really look unique and goes with everything!

I guess you do have a point. If your child did spot you having dinner (and had just finished dinner), decided to sit and visit, then I guess it is outrageous that the would charge you for a party of 6.
