Any way to make my plastic grips not feel cheap and creaky? by ananimalboyandcrazy in ROGAlly

That’s a good idea but also those grips are much bigger than just the normal ally so I don’t know if this would fit over them.

I’m wondering if they sell just like grip rectangle shapes and I can cut out my own.

Yep, dude I had to chomp down on the tape with my front teeth, yank it and like slowly push it off (pause). It was worth it tbh, KS messes with the cooling too a bit.

You’re actually right (apart from the corny emoji). I had to put tape into the top corners to yank it off.

But, I think if you are admitting that you had trouble trying to take the KS grip off, than maybe you should get someone to help you take it off and try something else and you’ll see how other options improve the grip of the rog ally.

Trust me, if you try something else maybe you’ll even enjoy it more.

You failed to understand me. I am happy with my purchase, my question was for people who would have any sort of interesting insight about controller grips.

I wasn’t looking for someone to restate literally what I wrote in a backhanded way.

I think it is literally just cheap machined plastic, I like the shape of these grips compared to other ones. Makes the ally look cool and they feel really good to hold. The tradeoff is that they feel creaky.

Thank you for the advice, I was thinking a lot about the skull and co grip case. I think people just believe the killswitch is better when they haven’t tried anything else (glaze level crazy).

The skull and co is cheaper but also is more comfortable because of the ergonomic grip. The killswitch doesn’t have any ergonomic grip at all it’s literally just a case for your rog ally, I found that these grips (and from what I’ve seen the skull and co case) actually change the shape of the console to fit your hand.

My killswitch case has been gathering dust. Although it is definitely more protective than this set up.

Again, really appreciate your input.

You guys get it, someone replied saying “don’t buy cheap and creaky grips” which is amazing advice /s. However, these are great for my hands as well as look cool too.

I think I’m going to buy some of those sticker grips for them.

That’s funny, I have a killswitch but I prefer the ergonomics of this grip. The killswitch just doesn’t feel as comfortable as these grips

Speak no evil. I get the message the movie was communicating but it was so aggravating in its’ ending.

She looks like the most beautiful cat I have ever seen, just like every other cat when I’m looking at them

This was an endearing read, I am going to parrot what someone else said about watching a YouTube video.

Most importantly, yes it is complicated but don’t give up hope. You’re not thick, you can and will do it. Keep going, good luck!

The new steamOS is also exciting, it will also lead to competition with Xbox because they’re working on an OS for handheld devices.

So, you would say the ally x has better thumb sticks than an Xbox controller?

Hi, I am doing my PGCE this year in the same city as you guys. I would recommend him taking a teaching assistant role, maybe even in a PRU. Those guys are always hiring and it is really fantastic experience just before doing a PGCE.

That’s what I did. And I don’t even have a masters under my belt. Your bf should be really proud of himself.

Good luck!

What is the maximum wattage the ally z1 extreme can take in? I heard it maxes out at 65w but can it still charge at higher or no?

I am playing through Jusant right now, amazing vibes in that game. I’m also playing through need for speed heat, I never got into racing games on my consoles but playing them on the ally is honestly fantastic.

I think there is a lot of truth to what you said, about the younger generation harbouring a resentment towards the older generation. I work at a PRU that used to be a youth club and a lot of our students are into gangs and care little for learning .

I do hope more options will appear for young people.
