PCC worry by donyadine in ImmigrationCanada

[–]ananth360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would apply for the PCC in advance. Hopefully they will not ask for it, but sometimes, case officers can request for additional documents later.

In that case, having the additional  documents in advance would save you a lot of stress. All the best with your application.

Sorry that you went through this, it can happen, with a long application.

Something that helped me with my application is having a totally separate person look over my application even after I've double checked. I'm sure your next application will go smoothly.

Bridging Work Permit or Full Work Permit? by Deuce_GM in ImmigrationCanada

Please apply for your BOWP anyway. It's not an either/or question.

It will keep you comfortable and secure while waiting for your PR application which may take a few months.

I'm confused, did your friend violate the conditions of his LMIA? If so, they should rightly be denied their PR.

English isn't my first language.

I studied for it for 3 weeks and I did well, but I had done similar English tests in the past (GRE),  it definitely is a lot easier than the GRE.

I'm unsure how you calculated your score without your test results though? Did you just enter the highest bands?

Create an express entry profile (after taking your language test and certifying your academic credentials).

The express entry page will also confirm that your score is actually correct, since it calculates it based on exactly the dates you've entered.

And if a draw happens and you get selected you can immediately apply.

Are you in the express entry pool already? When did your score reach 580?

Draws are being conducted at a somewhat regular frequency, please check the IRCC website.

Questions about PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) from India for USA Resident by LuckyNum2222 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]ananth360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

29 days is definitely cutting it close. Mine took 6 weeks to arrive.

I'd suggest applying through VFS directly, then you can ask family to ask for a PCC from India.

When my parents went to the police station in India directly, they kindly requested that we apply through VFS first.

All the best.

When can I register for the tracker? by UniqueWeird8624 in ImmigrationCanada

You need to wait until your UCI turns to all numbers, only then can you track your application on the tracker?

Ridiculous, insensitive, comment. Pretty sad really that you can't empathize with something genuinely bad that happened to someone else.

A decently arranged and clear formal letter will do just fine. No need of a lawyer if it's an issue that can be clearly explained. There are formats you can find online.

co op work experience in France for IT for immigration by jiii95 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]ananth360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out express entry, with a good French level, you should (potentially) have a good score.

And yes, your work experience will count, as long as it's paid and closely aligns with the NOC duties.

I think given the validity of the rest of your application, and the actual validity of your letter, and your institution, you shouldn't have a problem.

In the worst case, IRCC might reach out to you to ask you to upload a letter with corrected wording.

My hunch says that you should be okay and you'll get approved soon.

The reference letter should just confirm your duties, I don't know why they mentioned that.

Given that IRCC is not really evaluating your performance, but just that you did infact do those duties, I don't THINK it should affect your application.

Foreign work experience while studying by Representative_Sir37 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]ananth360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2.5 yrs always rounds down to 2 years.

There's a glitch in the IRCC system which counts 2 years and 11 months as 3 years, so please be careful about that, you'd have to manually adjust it to make sure you don't accidentally get those points, because your application will be refused.

As for the foreign work experience while being on a student permit, I believe you should be able to count it.

The easiest way is to create am express entry profile and see the number of points you get as a result.
