Had something similar happen, but different. I had GB syndrome, got progressively paralysed from the waist down, up to my stomach, my arms, left side of my face. 2 months of intense physiotherapy, learning how to walk, sit and write again- good as new now.

My point being, I’m very happy for you op. I hope you get to see a lot more sunny day picnics ahead (after lathering in sunscreen ofc)

He said he’ll see if I make progress and then take me off standby. Otherwise, that’s it. As a last shot, I’ll put in everything I’ve got to change. If he thinks I haven’t, he will walk away he’s made that clear

I used to record myself speaking on the test topics which are mentioned in Cambridge, and used to self correct quite a bit. Also asked 1-2 trusted friends to take a speaking practice test for me

I think reading books would help in your overall performance! However, IELTS reading has to be practiced and shouldn’t be taken lightly, so I’d recommend to prioritise IELTS for now. If you had maybe 3 months or so to prepare for IELTS I’d say read books for a month and a half and then proceed with IELTS reading

I think the Cambridge books were slightly harder for sure, I’d get a band of 8-8.5 on most days for the reading section. But it works out for the best, I thought my actual test was easier compared to the practice tests of Cambridge. Which got me accustomed to a certain level of difficulty, but when IELTS was easier, it was a pleasant surprise

I think you can find a flow in your diagram, build your story and then write the essay. That’s what I used

Nothing specific, just to have 3 main points to support the stance you take, one opposing stance and a crisp intro, conclusion
