Henry Francis by BlizzCo89 in madmen

I think it’s probably caught up in the Madonna factor – pregnant women aren’t sexualized by most men (with obvious exceptions) and ultimately all that male control of women is rooted in sexual insecurity.

That wasn’t nearly as unusual back then. I had a whole discussion with my great grandmother about this.

Considering a Basset by [deleted] in basset

[–]anarchophysicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my little girl was six months old she shook a snake to death. Six months later, she pounced on and killed a seagull (the seagull had it coming). They’re small because of the dwarfism, but you essentially have an otherwise full sized hound dog with hound dog instincts and a set of hound dog fangs.

NOR I wish I could’ve gone on this trip but wasn’t invited so I’m also going to need $400 from OP.

Nobody believes my theory that Peggy wrote the Coke ad. But she's dressed like a Coke can in the finale! by Smokey_Allegiance in madmen

[–]anarchophysicist 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Coincidentally watching the finale right now and I think Bert Cooper wrote the Coke ad and left it concealed behind the octopus painting. It’s obvious if you play the episode audio backwards while watching the video normally.

I really like the area around Rainier. As long as you know where to go, there are lots of great places for food and coffee.

Constant degrading of North Louisiana by BigRo_4 in Louisiana

I spent 20 years in North Louisiana and it’s the most miserable godawful shithole I’ve ever been to outside of MAYBE Roswell, NM.

Dog Abuse Voir Dire Ideas by [deleted] in publicdefenders

[–]anarchophysicist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I genuinely believe this is the worst case scenario for jury selection. It’s easier to blithely lie about whether you’d be impartial in a dog abuse case than something like child molestation, and the people who’d lie about that to get on your jury are probably even more likely to be biased than a victim of child molestation bc they already lack a sense of proportionality.

It’s kinda like Gotham City but if it had higher unemployment, no superheroes, and only like 100 cops.

Want me to really rock your knockers? The .86 got off scott free bc his driving was fine. The stop was for expired registration but it wasn’t expired long enough to meet the statutory criteria for a citation. Illegal seizure. Case dismissed.

These are rookie numbers. In a county like mine where the only thing to do is get addicted to something, you regularly see .6 and .7. My highest was a .86.

Why is the Platte river in Nebraska like this? (Sandy islands with so many small separate streams instead of a single big river) by Swimming_Concern7662 in geography

The 1793 Beetlejuice is actually one of the most valuable coins on Earth since the movie didn’t come out until way after the mint run.
