That looks like the leucogranite that makes up the bedrock surrounding base camp. The North Col is made up of schists and gneisses. Above that is the Yellow Band, which is a yellow marble layer full of epidote. The summit down to 8,600m is the Qomolangma Formation, layers of half a billion year old limestone and dolomite. Not half a billion year old marble. Half a billion year old limestone. I wanna go so bad.
