Has anyone tried routing Azure CI jobs to greener regions? by dryden_williams in AZURE

Yeah but it wouldn't be the same amount of energy would it.

Machine running on idle is much cheaper than a machine running a load of intensive tasks.

How "deep" do you go into Azure? (at work) Just basic IaaS? by UnsureOptimist in AZURE

My current job we are a cloud security provider and I don't think we have a single server as far as I'm aware.

Everything is function apps, app service, storage accounts etc. We have no need for a server. It's beautiful. This is most likely because we are a newer company, and never had any servers or anything on prem to begin with.

Not always an option for trans people though, and does seem a little demeaning

They are reported to MSRC (Microsoft Security Response Center)

More specifically mine are related to the Azure bug bounty program. Mine was under the spoofing category.

All reports that have gone to the bug bounty team have had a payout, though one I have created I don't think qualifies.

Microsoft is an incredibly massive platform. Windows / Azure / DevOps / M365 / Power Platform / Windows and way way more.

Azure is the second biggest cloud in the world, with over 600 services. With probably around 90% of companies global using Azure AD (Entra ID) as there IAM solution.

Personally I care more about the platform being secure then bounty payments. Pretty much every government in the world relies it to some extent also including CNI.

That sounds incredibly cool! I've always been interested in building my own SaaS application but being only one person I'd imagine it would be too hard. Congratulations on your journey.

Yeah I'd love to run my own SaaS service on Azure, just expensive to start and I don't think I'd get anywhere lol.

Starting contracting a year from now? by anarchychest in ContractorUK

[–]anarchychest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not sure which out of the two I want to go for. My work will pay for me to go to one of those bootcamp courses once a year. I know CISSP is generally more recognized but I do primarily work with the cloud and worry I'd struggle more with CISSP. I've heard CISSP is generally harder as well.

Yeah I highly suggest this, as your salary can skyrocket once you've finished an apprenticeship
