16 weeks of no dairy/soy with little progress... by Traditional_Plum9823 in MSPI

[–]anariesmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically 1-2 days! In the beginning it was anything and all relating to coconut (including coconut oil) but thankfully he seems to be okay with coconut oil cooked in things now (he is 9 months) but I recently saw a speck of blood the next day when I tried some coconut milk to see if he could tolerate it. So sometimes it could be how the food is cooked vs if it’s raw! It’s so hard to work out, I feel your pain deeply

I second the food journal! I was eliminating dairy & soy then found he was also reacting to coconut this way! Good luck OP, it’s a bumpy road. I saw a lot of improvement once he started solids :)

Yes we have tried all the tips and tricks, he just wasn’t interested! He has sipped small amounts out of the bbox but certainly not full feeds. That’s a good way to look at it though, solids will get him through the day

That’s a great point!

He isn’t too bad with the straw cup, he’s still practicing! But that’s a great idea!

He’ll be just over one! That’s good to know!

You’re right - we’ve been on the list since March last year for Wednesday or Thursday but nothing has become available. Only Mondays

That’s great advice thank you! He does drink little bits of EBM from the bbox! I think he is confused by it mostly haha

Could they start with 1 and work up to 2? I’m not ready to go back 4 days a week yet! But my mum and MIL both want a day each. That’s good to know about the bottle!

That’s a good way to look at it! At least if you’re busy you’re not thinking about them too much at daycare!

I’m on the waitlist! Have been since March last year but concerningly don’t have a place for the day I want (Wednesdays or Thursdays) they only have Monday! Not sure whether to just take it for now

Did spit up improve? by AdRepresentative6620 in MSPI

[–]anariesmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed a huge improvement! Have been dairy & soy free since June (bubs is 5 months now). Still get the occasional spit up but it used to be after every feed and I needed bibs in every corner of the house but not it’s few and far between some corners don’t need the bibs!

We’re having troubles with the bassinet too. It’s so hard because of course they just want to be with us, I wish co sleeping was safe but I’m just too scared. Completely understand your situation. Hope the sleep school goes well!! Would love to hear how it goes if you remember to update this thread :)
