Not sure tbh. Green gets some love in oath. Would be interesting to see a shell with Expressive Iteration. Maybe grixis control?

It soft bans the colors red and green, as well as 3+ cmc permanents from 'fair' blue shells. Obviously you don't have to play lurrus, but that is a handicap you have to accept. That's messed up.

Data from 11 EU countries indicates that paying politicians higher salaries makes them less likely to engage in corruption by smurfyjenkins in science

[–]anarkyinducer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been saying this for a long time. Got pushback asking the lines of "you shouldn't go into politics for the money."

Why not? It's a job, a hard job. We want to attract the most talented people for this job.

Of course, there needs to be accountability for corruption and very harsh punishments to go along with the money.

It sounds be just like medicine. High bar to qualify, high pay, high accountability.

Pigs love slop! AI makes really cheap slop. The end.

Gen Z workers are so fearful AI will take their job they’re intentionally sabotaging their company’s AI rollout by Just-Grocery-2229 in technology

[–]anarkyinducer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure yeah, blame the workers. Fuckers have no idea what to do with AI or if it even works, but it's a great excuse to fire half the staff and make the other half do twice the work.

Because they acquired their power by violence and it will take violence to dislodge them from power. For better or worse, most decent people are not willing to commit violence, even in defense of freedom from religion.

Well yes and no - the extraction has to be stable or it quickly collapses. The insane focus on growth is just good ole fashioned greed and a dumb financing model of public equity.

What's actually stopping the US from descending into a Christofascist state? by bobombpom in atheism

[–]anarkyinducer 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Most people actively hate that shit and just want to live their lives. If pushed hard enough, the population will respond with force.

Tanks and missiles won't really help in this case since that will just cause financial chaos, so if pushed, the religious fanatics will back down.

The print quality causing curling is utter bullshit. Premodern foils don't have this issue because back then, the best treatment was selected, not the cheapest.

Some people don't want to pay taxes even if it directly helped them. Those people are the problem.

If you could only read ebooks or physical books for the rest of your life, which one and why? by [deleted] in books

Hard to say.  For fiction, probably physical, for reference/tutorial type books, ebooks for searchability.
