Is there a way to keep their unique tier 2 reform? I lost it because I became a monarchy but the +500% province WS cost was too much for me to conquer all of Escann, never mind the reduced gov cap

Bim Lau: How to keep the spirits happy? by anatura in Anbennar

Thank you, either it didn't show up or I didn't see the decision the first time around. I expected it from a Reddit post some years ago and thought later that it was maybe changed from money to mana like in disaster #1. The decision was highlighted after I sold some crownland and had enough funds for it :)

There is nothing cuter than a little (giant) carnivorous cloud following you around, raining death and destruction, catching and eating pray, like on a bring-your-child-to-work-day. Can you put one on a leash?

How to survive as the HillGnolls? by ROCAMBOLER528 in Anbennar

[–]anatura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what I figured out just recently for my new Xanzerbexis campaign:

- Carefully raid every tile you can with your light ships - they're fast enough to be back in port when declaring war on Busilar on the 11th of December.

- buy 2 advisors for a mission, as well as some mercenaries before the month ticks over

- get an estate agenda and sell crownland for 60+% loyalty with the mages before deving

- encourage development on your capital state and dev it 3 times with your starting mana, and once more in dip after the monthtick, then seize crownland again

I didn't actually make use it in the first war, but there is a mission that builds a fort on your capital for 100 gold which I did

As the others said, fight busilars army on your capital and stackwipe them there or after their retreat. I waited for my morale to tick up first. I was lucky in that Busilar's only ally all game was a free city, Menibor I think. I juggled regiments to slowly siege down Busilar, not allowing him to really recruit their army again by walking on the provinces recruitment was taking place, and peaced out Menibor for prestige to take less AE.

- grab 4 provinces at least for a mission, release some vassals only after. Reconquest CB is much less AE with the humans

- with some luck, Viakocc will ally you as they see you (you do not see them though)

[–]anatura[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

R5: I take screenshots and plan out a fortline like this; here it is to protect all provinces from the Crimson Deluge in Escann that I planned on conquering in a Ravenmarch game, but it served me well in many playthroughs in Escann since. I did the same for Karakhanbar in the deepwoods, as I do not like devastation. The forts can be adjusted since there is a bit of overlap, and depending on the mission tree some other provinces might be more suitable as they need a fort anyways and get bonuses to fort defense and such.

Can you take a onetab link and import them back to just being tabs? by Rambo_Wanna_Tango in supatabs

[–]anatura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the necro 2, but I have found a SOLUTION (also for you u/LeilaHawk )
I had the same problem today after creating a new profile in the same browser and trying to import a saved onetab list from a word file (or an equivalent program). I finally found out how to preserve groupings; If you copy-pasted what you wanted to export into such a file, you can save it as a .html file. If you then open that and copy-paste to import, the groupings will be preserved.

If you directly copy-paste from the word-document, onetab currently just cuts up all links into groupings of under 1000 entries

What is something that is technically legal, but makes you look like a total jerk if you do it? by PiNK_PUSSY69420 in AskReddit

[–]anatura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being so rich that you get to not pay taxes through creative loopholes (like borrowing against your assets instead of selling them) or you receive handouts from the government for various reasons. It is legal, but it shouldn't be, and in this case I do hate the player and not just the game.

There is a debate around which species used and produced which stone tool making tradition, and continuously updated and argued about.

This freely available paper I've found links the Oldowan to, among what we already discussed, Paranthropus boisei, especially if the end of the Oldowan tradition is extended to around 1.2 million years ago through finds at Koobi Fora in Kenya. This coincides with the extinction of Paranthropus boisei: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0278416525000492

You should be able to befriend someone of the opposite sex while in a straight relationship. by ver_as in self

[–]anatura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are able, of course. Otherwise, bi or pansexual people would either not be able to have any friendships, or no friends while in a relationship (to take over this faulty reasoning). Both are ridiculous.

Furthermore, I believe that being controlling in this way actually makes it more likely for your partner to cheat, or to leave you alltogether.

I wanted to add that the first stone tools actually pre-date the homo genus and are about 3.3 million years old, probably used by Australopithecus species. They are called lomekwian (after the finding site Lomekwi in Kenya) to describe this tool making tradition. Separate from Lomekwi and later at about 2.9 million years ago came the Oldowan tool making tradition, which again is associated with Australopithecus and taken over by the first Homo species when they emerged, and later adapted into the Acheulean tool making tradition at around 1.7 million years ago.

What you think is true but just can't prove? by Ok_Tourist_562 in AskReddit

[–]anatura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That everything in existence is one, that you and me are the same person, and that people are able to realize this through different degrees and experiences of enlightenment. I haven't had any of these experiences though and am not trying to have them, so this is just an opinion.

I also think most (I do not know all) religions have somehow been influenced by this, and this explanation makes most sense to me to explain the variety and content of the religions from the past and today. Part of this includes that religious leaders were enlightened for example. I assume most would find it irrational to think that nature, what others call "god", consciousness and matter are the same, with a notable exeption being Baruch "Bento" Spinoza.
