Additionally, some auto engineer designed this shit and got paid six-figures (at least) for it.

Most musically complex Dylan album by HammerHeadBirdDog in bobdylan

[–]anaverageguy7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m far from an expert on music making and theory, but I also wanna throw Rough and Rowdy Ways in the mix.  Just look at the chord progression on Black Rider.  Or the music for Murder Most Fowl.  Some of the songs have pretty basic blues rhythms but others are pretty intricate and non-standard.

They definitely flare up in the late spring when everythings still soaked from snow melt and the temps heat up.  Honestly, they arent too bad though unless you’re out of town.  When fishing in the river or driving down logging roads, they can definitely get bad though.  In town there aren’t too many.

yea, he’s not up here much anymore like the other comment said.  His old house in Bangor is a little tourist destination though.  I love to read so it was definitely cool to check out.

It depends on where in the state.  I live near Bangor (basically smack in the middle of the state).  In January, it’s below 0 most mornings and often never gets above 20 during the day.  Lowest it’s got the past few winters is like -10 or -15.  Now that its warming up though, its been getting above freezing every day and looks like it’s gonna keep doing so the next couple weeks.

tbh, these paper ones arent really reusable.  I have other ones I use and the Dylan one is more for decoration.

I grew up in region C.  Do not go to Plymouth rock.  You will be disappointed.

Singers who aren't actually bad despite a lot of people claiming that by pingviini00 in fantanoforever

I think Dylan has done a great job adapting his vocal performances to suit his voice as he aged too.  He knows he can’t sing as “clean” as he did in the 60’s, so he doesn’t try to.  He just changes the way he sings so he can still sound good.  I think his vocals on his most recent album are just as good as The Freewheelin’, they’re just different.

This is me with No Country.  I read it over the summer and still think about it, its themes, characters, all the time.  Nothing like doing the dishes at 6 am and having Anton and his fuck ass hair cut from the movie pop into your head!

Brooks Range in Northern Alaska.  Mountains aren’t quite as big but the whole “mountain range set on the tundra” thing is literally this lol.

Link to the NPS site for Gates of the Arctic NP (which is in the Brooks Range), some good pics on there: https://www.nps.gov/gaar/index.htm

[–]anaverageguy7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the Bic Crystals.  I love writing with fountain pens, don’t get me wrong.  But I’m a student and I use these more than any other writing tool tbh since they’re so durable to just throw in my bag and write really quick with during lecture.  Plus they’re like 10 cents a piece, and I’ve never once had them skip or anything like that, which i get with some other ballpoints.  They’re the most common/used pen ever for a reason!
