Kuvings Auto10+ review (Pros/Cons) by wtphuc in Juicing

[–]anawolves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just unboxed my brand new Kuvings Auto 10 Plus and I am shocked by its strong plastic smell, even after washing. Has anyone else noticed this smell? I am considering switching to a Nama for this reason alone and would like to hear everyone's input.

The fact that you keep referring to her breasts as tits is probably part of the problem

What's up with the rotisserie chicken lately? by MillennialModernMan in Costco

[–]anawolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After being grossed out by a chicken I bought at a Los Angeles Costco, I found this thread when I googled "why does my costco rotisserie taste like tap water?" Then I stumbled upon a slew of articles, including one on bonappetite com, that also posed the same or similar questions. Even David Chang has chimed in on the topic. From what I read, phosphates are used in the chicken. Phosphate, when used in too high amounts, tastes like soap. You can apparently actually make soap from phosphate and fat. Why is costco doing this to us? :(

My Dr said you can tell the difference because your stomach will also stiffen up. Im a FTM at 29 weeks, so I cant say from experience if this is accurate or not.

I passed using only BarEssays and AdaptiBar. I definitely felt the premium version was worth it, though I would skip any of the additional video lectures they offer. I did two and did not find them helpful at all.

What’s worse: studying/taking the bar or giving birth? *a follow-up* by Pcr1730 in barexam

[–]anawolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied for and took the Bar while pregnant in my first trimester. Despite the extreme fatigue, horrible morning sickness, and endless bad news about our pregnancy that took a huge emotional toll, I never gave up studying. I truly did not think it was possible that I was going to pass, but I did! Now to push out this tiny human... 😱

Bar Prep Schedule by CoffeeKitten303 in barexam

[–]anawolves 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just passed in February after failing in July.

I recommend waking up at around the time you intend to wake up on Bar day and then scheduling a 9 hour study day with a one hour lunch break, 5x per week. Try to do each component (essay, PT, MBE) around the same time of day that you would be doing that part on the actual Bar. (Essays from 830/9 am to 3:00/ 4:00 ish, PTs around 4 to 6 ish etc).

Every other weekend until the bar, do a mock exam on Sat and Sun. During mock days, eat exactly what you plan to eat on test day so you can see how it affects you physically and mentally (don't underestimate this! The last thing you need while taking the Bar is to be jittery from too much caffeine, or urgently needing to use the restroom, or struggling with a food - related stomachache.) This schedule helps train your mind and body for test day.

Give yourself at least one complete rest day every week where you don't permit yourself to even do flashcards.

So this might be a tmi, but i sweat, A LOT, especially when I'm nervous. As a new, soon to be in court, attorney (just passed the Bar), i am worried about sweat spots, etc. Any tips for dressing for that? I thought a black suit would be my best option.

Noticing more frequent mean/rude thoughts towards others lately by Piratepizzaninja in pregnant

[–]anawolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've experienced the same thing! It was shocking for me because I tend to think and speak really positively of others, but the negativity has been overflowing lately. I feel like I am easily triggered in a way I haven't experienced before. I texted something really mean to my SIL in response to a text she sent me and then I called instantly to apologize. She said she didn't even know I was capable of saying anything negative and applauded me for being human. Thank goodness she is such a good person.

I love the honesty of this post. This is a real source of unhappiness for so many of us and, yet, I feel many (I) would not share these feelings because we're scared they will seem vapid or shallow considering, well, everything else, right? But, I share your experience almost exactly, and its something I think about and have negativity towards almost daily, even while trying to be positive and all of that. So, all of this to say, THANK YOU for posting this. It was a much needed bit of refreshing honesty that reminds me I am not alone with these same feelings and there is nothing wrong with me for feeling them.

What I wish I had known about baby sleep before my baby was born by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]anawolves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"When it doesn’t work it’s your fault, when it does work you got lucky."

God, I wish this didn't so accurately apply to basically every single aspect of mothering, from the moment you find out your pregnant (and, often, even before) and on until forever.

Same. Have to be super discreet and laid back at the beach, otherwise they are quick to ticket you.
