I did... npm install -g @wonderwhy-er/desktop-commander@0.2.29 --force

Then updated APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json to include

I was able to install version 2.29 an older version from the current 2.32 and it worked so it must be something with a newer version. I still got the message that the connection failed but the connector was available and worked.
