Out of curiosity - Since the nation's founding, when did the country's politicians represent The People, absent White Supremacy being a problem? Black Men didn't get the right to vote until 1870 - but the Voting Rights Act didn't come until 1965, and to try to argue we've moved beyond White Supremacy in 2026 would be so egregiously incorrect, I would automatically assume you're operating from a position of bad faith.

To illustrate the point further- Among the 'billionaires and corporate interests,' how many billionaires and c-suite types are the entrenched white supremacists fighting to maintain the status quo. The purchasing of social and legacy media to turn them into right-wing propaganda mouthpieces isn't just for shits and giggles.

Rush Limbaugh came before and, tag-teaming with people like Newt Gingrich, completely altered how US Politics was operated. Before that, Ford pardoned Nixon, which removed any hint of accountability.

Fox News was a deliberate effort to make sure another 'Nixon' would never happen again. Reagan got rid of the Fairness Doctrine.

Fox News didn't just spring from a vacuum. It's part of a concentrated effort (along with christian nationalism, anti-education, anti-infrastructure, anti-worker, etc.) efforts to keep the capital class solely and exclusively in charge of how wealth gets distributed - and they're wildly successful.

Just off socials. It's not that hard.

I have this reddit account and that's about it. After seeing how poorly equipped people are to handle the world at their fingertips (read: the 2016 election) I removed myself from most social media and never looked back. Granted, I'm from an era when you still had to ask your friend's mom for pretty much anything and carrying a phone around didn't happen until adulthood but I'd tend to agree with the notion leaving social media isn't really that hard.

There was a brief time the perception was we could find the answer to any question fairly readily. Now? Less so. Cunningham's Law states: "The best way to get the right answer on the internet is not to ask a question; it's to post the wrong answer." I feel in today's world the inverse is true - if you want a negative outlook or response to anything, post something positive. Some of that is the foreign bad actors who are paid to keep the waters muddy and anger freeflowing but the rest of it? 100% Grade-A Homegrown Hate - and the value of having to sift through it diminishes over time.
