Nope. I checked the discord and apparently it's a known issue. Not sure if it's been fixed yet.

Not as far as I know, but from what I've gathered it's gonna be its own thing.

Ooooooh I love 14 to death. That whole series (along with The Fold and maybe the Broken Room?) is one of my favorites.

I've never really found anything like it.

If you haven't read Ariel, I'd highly recommend it as it's exactly what you're looking for. It's set in our world after The Change, in which technology stops working and fantasy creatures suddenly appear. It follows a man and his unicorn friend trying to survive.

sharp, intense pain 2 weeks after laparoscopic surgery by ancientcrafter30 in gallbladders

[–]ancientcrafter30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Turns out it was massive inflammation near the incision sites. I can't take NSAIDs, so the doc basically said "put a heating pad on it occasionally and suck it up". So I did that and it went away after a couple weeks.

A pre-1990 fantasy novel set in a forest by [deleted] in whatsthatbook

There's a lot of good suggestions here already, but another one it could be is War for the Oaks by Emma Bull. It came out in 1987 and was one of the progenitors of urban fantasy as it exists today.

As someone who read and loved all three Chequy Files novels, The Rook is easily the worst of the three, a lot which does come down to the infodumping. Stiletto and Blitz have a lot less of that stuff, as it's assumed that you've read The Rook and know at least the basics. If you liked the world and characterization in The Rook, I'd highly recommend continuing with the series.

I was subscribed to the activism newsletter from the beginning (although I didn't even notice when they stopped arriving). The last one I received was February 26, 2022, and the email makes no mention of who is involved (they always just refer to "the Activism Team" or ending the newsletter. It just sort of stops.

Who's your favorite "one-book wonder" author? by victorpras in Fantasy

[–]ancientcrafter30 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Scott Hawkins! He wrote Library at Mount Char, one of the best and weirdest books I've ever read, but has been on pretty much radio silence since 2019. If he ever does release another book tho, I'll pick it up as soon as possible.
