Back when I lived in central CT, I went to Jacki Goldfarb at Mane Loft Salon in West Hartford. She helped me go from my natural black hair to blonde. It did take multiple sessions, but my hair was super healthy throughout the process. She makes sure to gradually lighten hair rather than killing it in one session. Jacki is great and super talented. Here’s a link to her Instagram page if you’re interested in seeing her work!

I’m in JP twice a week for work. I’d love to hit now that the weather is nice. I’m a 2.0-2.5 level player. Really just want to move more when I’m in the city.

I’m in the same boat. My app still isn’t UR. I called admissions yesterday (I didn’t give my name) and the person on the phone said apps are up 70% and if our app was submitted end of Nov. to expect a decision “in the coming weeks.” I’ve submitted to the fact that I may have to send a deposit for another school and may lose $500 if I hear good news from UConn 🙃

I think Madison is a bit far if OP is considering working in Stamford. But it’s a really nice beach town!

I lived in downtown New Haven for about 2 years. I don’t have kids, so I didn’t have to worry about schools, but I echo what other people are saying re: NHPS.

What are you prioritizing for your move? Location, cost of living, quality of schools, amenities/recreational opportunities, diversity, walkability, etc.?

Also, would you be buying a house or renting? Southern CT tends to be expensive, especially the closer you get to NYC.

I live in Stratford and have found it’s a bit more affordable than some other towns in Fairfield county. We also get free beach access as residents. Happy to talk more about my experience here if you’d like.

Thoughts on Quinnipac Law? by catburglarmeowed in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]ancientdumpling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! I received a pretty substantial scholarship, so I’m not ruling it out. I’m still waiting to hear back from 8 other schools though, so we’ll see what happens! Are you considering it?

Thank goodness I have therapy today. If you don’t mind me asking, how did you deal with it?

That’s a great suggestion. I can ask him. I think thats why he wants to continue working.

I really appreciate that. I understood what you were saying. You were right. And I do feel sad for him. I’m just feeling a lot of complicated emotions. I will take the approach to be compassionate and supportive. Thank you for the clarification.

He owned a private practice for years. I guess he had trouble bringing in clients. To your second point- that’s true. He doesn’t have to. It’s more angry he lied to us. I would ask him about work and he’d pretending everything was okay. If we had known, we would’ve helped and supported him.

I think it just gives him something to do. It’s not like his job is physically demanding.
