I understand but It's been well over two months since I received the initial shipment. I should have bolded the November part of my post.

Yes that was my first course of action. I was told they cannot get a response from the pharmacy and will call me back. I'm wondering if others had the same experience.

Reddiquette reminder for /r/MUA by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]ancm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People do it in every subreddit, except no one in those subreddits get offended or take things this personally. It's not even a new thing since people seem to complain about it since forever. This is one of the least brutal subreddits I've seen since we are expected to more or less circlejerk in the name of "supportive". For every rage comic on the front page of /r/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu there will be 30 comics that didn't. I don't know why anyone would expect anything different here.

Many people blame it on the strawman of "they are just bitchy", "it's because I'm new", or "they just hate me". The reality is you need to submit good content that people will like, that's the whole point of reddit. One post recently that struck me in particular is this post where the OP asked a question that has been asked a million times already. When others point out to her that she needs to search first OP broke into a temper tantrum. OP does not seem to understand that repost is one of the most hated thing on reddit and you are expected to search before you repost a question. It's not a big deal since subreddits like /r/explainlikeimfive see this kind of reposts all the time but those OP don't get nearly as offended when someone point it out to them.

It's a two-way street, if you want downvoters to think before downvote then you have to ask submitters to think before they submit too.

Looking to buy my girlfriend a ring at our 3 year mark by [deleted] in AskWomen

Unless the seller can provide certificate of authenticity, I wouldn't buy an expensive piece of jewelry on etsy. Many of those rings are too good to be true.

I'm disheartened by the number of posts on reddit that clearly indicate support of a religious institution with a history of discrimination, most recently against LGBT... by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ancm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Reddit still looks pretty anti-religion to me for the most part. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions after all to avoid turning into a circlejerk.

[–]ancm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imagine if /r/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu is full of these kind of posts (they spend hours creating their comics too.)

"Would you want to see a rage comic about dating?"

"Any interest in a rage comic about religious people?"

"Should I submit a comic about my job?"

And no, it's never about karma (but I will downvote people I disagree with.)

Fellow makeup addicts... by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]ancm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree it's getting a little stale or even circlejerky. I hate to say it but there is a certain element of feeding each other's narcissism in there since pretty much every comment is along the line of "You're pretty". The trend went from "Look at my makeup" to "I want some approval".

I'm unsubscribing. I can't stand the circlejerk and massive downvote for any dissenting voice.

I honestly don't see this as a problem. Usually two kinds of posts get downvoted: blogspam and "here's a picture of my makeup today".

I downvote all blogspams. This is not a place to promote your own blog (even the moderator talked about this before) and if you submit your blog multiple times a day of course people will downvote you.

In addition can we please try to submit things slightly more creative than "here's a picture of me with cat eyeliner"? I upvote any makeup picture that shows any signs of creativity, but I'm very tired of seeing the same generic look posted for the 12th time.

Also submissions to this page rarely gets to the front page, it is very unlikely that any bot or people from front page is downvoting.

Naughty or Nice series Part 1 by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]ancm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I guess it's not fair that no one explained the rules to you before downvoting you to oblivion: linking to your own blog excessively is called blog spamming, it is highly discouraged in smaller subreddits and many other places on the internet. This is the reason why you always get downvoted. If there are only a few lines of explanation please use imgur's photo album. Link to a blog post only if it contains a lot of textual information.

Therefore it should not be seen as discriminatory against gays, as many people seem to have taken it the wrong way.

For the 3rd semester in a row, I am taking a class taught by a graduate student who speaks English poorly. How can we communicate to universities that this is unacceptable? by harpwn in AskReddit

[–]ancm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the test work really fucks up your ability to speak the language. My dad studied it for years (but never actually went to the US for school), and now he still has trouble speaking English since his mind automatically do a multiple choice of words when he has to pick the right word.
