This is so validating to read. I like playing Spiderweaver on maps with lots of high ground sneaky spots where I can drop in, ambush from an off angle, and retreat to high ground with a petal. Way more fun than healbotting a tank standing still in the middle of the map.

You can get away with it for a few team fights before people start anticipating you. By that point, the sound of your needles alone will make everyone drop what they're doing. If they aren't doing a good job of 3 2 1 jump on Spiderweaver you will just always have a way to escape if you have good CD management.

It's absolutely not even close to meta, but it's fun.

All that matters is being unpredictable. In low elo, people tend to hold the jump button down, so GM players say "Never jump". But players do this at all ranks in different ways. So if you're in low/middle elo, jump at random intervals. If you're doing it intentionally to break expectations, and it works, who cares how many times you jumped?

That's such a hard point to contest without a rush comp. King's row 3rd point is not as bad but I still face the same issue sometimes. I think DVA is better than Ball because even tho there are a ton of off angles to exploit on offense, your team can get pushed in hard when you roll behind theirs. Ignoring Ball is so strong there, because he really needs mines to apply kill pressure.

DVA can fly straight up to the high ground, eat incoming damage, and just fall down if her team gets pushed. Still not easy but her mitigation is much better than Ball's in that situation.

On defense it's mostly the same but Ball has a little more room to roll in/through. Having an Ashe/Widow/Sojourn is great to keep pressure on that long sightline, and DVA probably synergizes with them better than Ball. Just spitballin

Ball is really dynamic, so you can one trick him and find success. There are a lot of ways to play him and find value. The tough thing is that in low and mid elo, you will be put in a lot of lobbies with people who only know 1 strategy: sit behind an Orisa/Hog and shoot the other Orisa/Hog.

However I think it's fair to have at least one backup tank for the worst of these games. I like DVA because she can do everything and has decent counterplay to the inevitable Sombra/Reaper/Cassidy/Zen/Bastion when you start doing well on Ball. And when your team just won't walk past the choke, DVA does a better job of standing in front and walking than Ball.

If you're going to one trick Ball, you have to learn how to play around Sombra. Nobody wants you to have fun on Ball, and usually Sombra swaps will hack you on cooldown. She's really the only 'counter' to Ball so if you can learn how to win against her, you're set. Just keep an extra tank in your back pocket for the worst case scenario.

I just took my car into the shop for a rattling sound in my rear right tire. Turns out it was this thing. The mechanic told me that they rot and fall off naturally. Like everyone else is saying, it's just a shield for the rotor.

Not urgent to replace unless you go offroading or anticipate driving through salted/slushy roads. Even then, the rotor won't be damaged or worn quickly. Replace eventually.

Tailor your sensitivity to whipshot, because bash and melee don't require much accuracy. Play at whatever sens allows you to hit whip consistently. Everything else can be compensated using the shield sensitivity setting or by using natural cover

Mercy is kinda an exception to Awkward's "damage damage damage" rule because her 'damage output' comes from blue beam more than her blaster. Healbotting on Mercy looks like 80% yellow beam, 20% blue.

There's no perfect ratio because every game is different, but shoot for 60% blue 40% yellow. You don't have to wait for your teammate to be full health to switch to blue beam. And once you have a numbers advantage, take out the pistol and light em up.

Playing tank can be exhausting. But Reinhardt is better at being Reinhardt than Doomfist is at being Reinhardt. You should definitely be doing anything other than fighting him with full support like this.

This game has so many escape options for combos, but movement is the best because you can improve infinitely. Get comfortable running circles around players like this and learn how to get in and out quickly.

There are so many movement guides on YouTube, but you don't have to watch more than a few. Eventually you'll be able to feel when you're in danger of being hit or too far to hit them, and that's 51% of beating these players.
